"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great experience with Coleson Electric LLC! The team was friendly, considerate, and got straight to work as soon as they arrived. They clearly knew what they were doing and handled the EV charger installation quickly and professionally. Everything was done neatly, and they made sure the setup looked clean and organized before finishing up. It’s refreshing to work with a company that’s both courteous and efficient. I highly recommend Coleson Electric LLC to anyone looking for quality electrical work or an EV charger installation!"

"I was having general home electrical issues and called a couple other companies from HomeAdvisor and both came to diagnose the issue. Without even removing or inspecting my main panel they said I'd need a full $5k replacement, which I found hard to believe given they didn't even attempt to find a problem. They happily charged an inspection fee, said they'd send a quote and I never heard from them again. Still needing help, and seeing the positive reviews for Cummings, I gave them a call. They were here the very next day and immediately began troubleshooting and identified the issue (loose main connection) within minutes. We decided to go ahead and replace the main breaker as well (just in case) and Cummings took care of everything! Jim was amazing, extremely knowledgeable, very friendly and helpful. He made sure everything was handled with total professionalism and I can't recommend Cummings enough! I'll be calling Cummings for any electrical needs I have in the future."

"I'm extremely satisfied with the work Apine Ductless performed for me today. Timelines were met from arrival to completion and customer support was excellent throughout. The business manager Gail communicated and coordinated with friendliness and professionalism. Repair team Jason and Lee were knowledgeable and personable, and they diagnosed and repaired the problem in a fraction of the time I expected it to take. Thank you to Alpine Ductless for a seamless and successful transaction and to owner Cory Eckert for imparting exceptional business ethics to his staff. I highly and confidently recommend Alpine Ductless to others."

"I’m a first time homeowner who is still learning the ins and outs of EVERYTHING that comes with owning a home. Ryan with Amp’d Electric was great! He was very prompt with communication and kept me updated on if he was running behind schedule and gave me an accurate ETA of his arrival. When he arrived he was friendly and professional. I thought I was having an electrical issues with the way my GFI kept triggering and “surging” anytime I tried to use my oven. Even though the problem didn’t happen while he was there (of course), Ryan listened carefully and got right to work trying to figure it out. He verified that all the outlets were in working order and talked me through the other problems that could be occurring. I would recommend Amp’d Electric to anyone 100% Thank you Ryan!"

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Shelton, WA

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
