"We had hired this company for a previous project and were satisfied with the work. We had an interior painting project and asked if he would be interested and he was. We agreed on a price and paid half in advance. Part of the job was surface preparation including removal of old wallpaper. After several delays, he arrived and started the painting. He did not remove the wallpaper as agreed upon and did no surface preparation. He painted over wallpaper and did not fill any of the holes in the surface. He left at the end of one day and never came back to finish the work. He has not responded to repeated attempts to contact him."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Sioux City, IA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
