My entire 35 year old roof was removed, gables and all, as well as the original roofing slats from the early 20th century. New plywood was expertly installed prior to laying down the new roof. I also had my 100 year old chimney replaced as it was in extremely poor condition. His crew was talented and neat, cleaning up every day and were a pleasure to interact with. EVERY interaction with each employee was customer-centric. They patiently listened to our requirements and concerns and then offered effective solutions during and throughout the entire process. (The warranty was also the best available.) Power is a large company with multiple locations across the country, ours was headquartered in Maryland but the work was completed in Virginia. This geographic distance did not adversely effect the outcome. From the initial salesperson (who took the gutsy risk of letting me visit and talk with two neighborhood customers while he waited outside before signing our contract) through the schedulers, work execution and Quality Control final inspection we were well pleased. The work started on time and was completed on time. Numerous personal phone calls and visits by the Power inspectors provided us with the comforting conclusion that we made the correct choice for a truly professional contractor. (The ONLY minor problem for the ENTIRE process was an oil stain from their air compressor on one of our paving blocks.) With our 50 year labor and product warranty I doubt we will need to redo our roof in our lifetime BUT if we move we would definitely chose Power again! Check the Better Business Bureau reviews and complaints and you will easily see that Power is a responsive and reasonable company to work with. Need a new roof? Power is your answer! Note that our project included house (2050 sq ft) replacement of all substandard 3/4” roof decking with code 7/16” decking (2080 sq ft) and also included reroofing of standalone shed (100 sq ft) minus decking replacement/gutters."

They took precautions to protect the siding and fencing during removal of the old roof and had 1 man assigned to cleanup as the job progressed. "Bob Laurendi and his Vandelay Roofing team are an absolute pleasure to deal with.  They were very responsive to my inquiry regarding my roofing needs, coming over and inspecting the existing roof within three (3) days of my first telephone call.  At that time, Bob explained the various options I should consider in installing a new (flat) roofing system, including cost variances and environmental considerations.  When I made my decision regarding the system I wanted, Bob told me he would have a formal quote to me within the week.
Less than a week later, Bob sent over his proposal and simple contract; I made one or two revisions to the specifications, which he readily accepted, and we scheduled the work for two or three weeks later.  Right on time, he and his crew called and advised me of their intent to start work the following day.  They worked over two (2) days, removing the old roofing system, repairing the wood sheathing where necessary, and installing the new TPO roofing system I had decided upon.  They worked quickly, efficiently, and cleanly, photographing every aspect of their work for my review.
