"Olympus Landscapes and Perfections has completely transformed our yard and it looks incredible now. They installed sod, a large flagstone path, a paver pad, playground mulch, fire pit with a flagstone patio, fountains, retaining walls, plants, mulch, and playground mulch. Corey is extremely hardworking, honest, reliable, and a very talented landscape designer. They've exceeded my expectations."

"I had hired this Company based on observation on their prior work in the City where I live and oversee work through the City Engineer. The scope of work included grading, installation of irrigation system and sodding of the affected area within a large, City Owned Sports Complex. Work was performed on a very tight schedule and was completed on-time and looks wonderful. Jimmy Eades worked within tight sports schedules a produced a superior end result! I plan to engage them again on upcoming projects and would recommend them to anyone looking for an outstanding job at competitive pricing."

"I called JD early in the morning. My privacy fence gate had been rickety for several weeks and had finally completely come off the hinges. He answered immediately and agreed to come by late that afternoon to take a look and give me a price. He came on time, and even though it was freezing cold, very windy, and almost dark, he said he could fix it right then. He pointed out that the gate was actually on upside down and it fixed it satisfactorily in less than an hour. I will call JD again for handyman work.

"Mr Finch responded within 30 min of my initial call to him. He assessed the job right away and gave me a reasonable estimate. The only reason I did not hire anyone for this job is that my church could not make a decision until the next meeting in one month. I will hire Mr Finch when I get the go-ahead from the church."

Small jobs welcome

"We found Patrick on Home Advisor when we were looking for someone to landscape our yard in our previous home. He contacted me immediately and after receiving proposals from others decided to go with his company. The electronic proposal was very impressive and you could visualize exactly what he had in mind to make sure we were on the same page. We had a patio with fire pit, and alot of landscaping. Beautiful, quick job. We liked it so much that when we moved to the lake last November and needed major hardscape and landscape work, we hired him again. Wow! Beautiful job with patio, fire pit, walkways, outdoor lighting and sprinkler system. Very professional and all employees were extremely polite and informative. Highly recommend!"

FAQs for interlocking pavers for patios, walks & steps installation projects in Tuscaloosa, AL

To calculate your paver needs:

  • Determine how many pavers cover a square foot.

  • Determine how many square feet you need.

  • Add an additional 10% to 20% for breakage and waste.

  • Consider your pavers’ sizes.

Or, you can hire a local pro who you know will get the right measurements the first time. This way, you get your weekend back instead of spending it measuring square footage.

A pallet of pavers costs $300 to $700 on average, and each pallet covers 56 square feet. The exact price depends on the type, size, and quantity of pavers you choose. Buying in bulk can sometimes offer additional savings, especially for larger projects. Ask your pro how you can save on material costs.

To get the best prices on pavers:

  • Hire a professional landscaper: Pros often receive discounts on materials, which can make hiring them more cost-effective overall.

  • Shop at local building supply stores: Check for overstock or bulk purchase deals. Bulk purchasing can be more costly up front but save you money in the long run.

  • Buy directly from manufacturers: Purchasing from a local brickyard or paver factory can offer competitive prices, especially for large quantities.

The main difference between driveway pavers and patio pavers is their load-bearing capacity. Driveway pavers are designed to withstand the weight of vehicles, whereas patio pavers aren’t suitable for such heavy loads. You can use driveway pavers for a patio, but using patio pavers for a driveway could lead to damage. Always check the weight limits of pavers and consult with a professional installer to choose the right type for your project.

Paver patios cost more than concrete patios because the materials and installation methods require advanced techniques and skilled labor. They deliver enhanced aesthetic appeal and allow for easier small‑scale repairs without affecting property taxes. The higher expense arises from premium paver materials and intricate installation processes that deliver long‑lasting durability and design flexibility. This robust solution provides notable benefits over concrete alternatives, making it a valuable investment for homeowners.
