"Johnny Smith was so great at making sure everything I ask was done perfectly. He did a lot of the work himself. Also, he had 4 to 5 other painters with him. Johnny assigned the other painters different areas such as doors, trim, cut in all around the room, etc. They took bulletin boards down and painted, then put them back in place. I would highly recommend Johnny Smith to paint your business or home. His work was excellent."

"Communication was excellent throughout the project. He completed everything with a spirit of excellence. While he was doing the painting, my plumbing decided to go on the blink. I told him what was happening, and within a few hours he had it resolved. I would surely use them again."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Washington, NC

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
