They literally had the exhibit built of stone. What a job that must have been to get that set up and then taken down. We discussed what we were looking for and were provided lots of good information to chew on. We got a few quotes for the job and I will be honest, Leone was not the cheapest . I had 2 other quotes that were cheaper but here is what Leone WAS..easy to deal with. Kevin came out and spent a half hour taking measurements and speaking with me about the project and answered all of my questions. Now lets add Covid into this..Kevin kept in good contact with me the entire time up until the Monday he started the job. His crew arrived Monday and on time and dove right in, even moving something for my neighbor. Throughout the week his crew arrived on time and put in full days to say the least. Left the job LATE on Friday and except for a dirt smudge in my driveway and some reseeded grass, you would never know they were here. I had one item that needed attention after a couple of weeks and when I texted Kevin, he advised me he would take care of it, and did right away. Cant say enough good as its hard to find "good" people that aren't just looking for the quick check and move on..he met me at the suppliers before the project to pick out the materials I liked and kept me informed all along the way.Came in right on point with the original quote he gave me. Like I said, BEST experience I have had. Highly recommended and I will certainly be using again. I hope he continues that approach at the shows as that was one of the reasons I choose to work with him. You put that much work in there, imagine what the job will look like. "Worst experience working with a contractor we have ever had. Lack of communication was astounding. Reached out to start the project on our tiny front lawn in June/July. Didn't start planting until mid October. Was told there were 5 jobs in front of ours. Ignored photos of exactly what we wanted. Finish product is passable at best. Would not recommend."

When I insisted that they leave the block edging where the new beds were added he expressed a couple times that he thought it would look better without, I eventually saw it and was glad he suggested it. His crew also added a cute little circular rock area when they extended the bed and some of the rocks weren't needed."

"After several attempts to just hire Golden Hill Landscaping & Construction (during a bid process), I finally did. The rates seemed comparable, at first. However, there were many projects to be completed at my deceased mother's house. Because I am disabled and not able to get to the property, I couldn't see how badly I was taken advantage of. Not only did I pay for a job they did not do, I also paid for another job that is unfinished, plus a french drain that is causing a sink hole, and the buried equipment is now above ground. All 3 of these projects pose safety risks. The french drain collapse is only a few months after installation. After bringing these issues to the owners attention (the unfinished project I'd requested be completed for months), the owner began ignoring me. When I mentioned that litigation was going to move forward, the owner said he'd look at the work that week then blew me off again. When they actually do work, Golden Hill's quality of work is atrocious and will need to be fixed. They broke the house vinyl siding when cutting down a tree branch and refused to fix it. I hired a contractor to fix that. They will overcharge (snowplowing is expensive), take advantage of you if you are a senior or disabled, and will try to get paid without working. They should not be in business and allowed to take advantage. I now have to pay someone else to fix their work, finish their work, and do a $375 job they never did. They've been paid over $10,000, with more work to be done at multiple properties. They agreed to do a quote at a second property, then never showed up. One would figure, with that kind if business, a company would want to perform quality work and respond to a dedicated customer. Aroldo at Golden Hill Landscaping & Construction will do a poor job or not at all, blow off appointments, ignore requests, and refuse to fix problems. He will, however, not hesitate to pick up a check. You should not ever hire them. If you do, be prepared to throw money away."
