Let's face it: finding a good contractor is difficult no matter where you are. While the local phone book will certainly provide any homeowner with the name and number of many a remodeling contractor, Atlanta is a big place, and sifting through the pages of ads in the phone book is no way to truly find the best service!

Finding a Roofing Contractor in Atlanta, GA
When it comes to finding a roofing contractor, Atlanta is certainly a good place to be. Not only are there plenty of Atlanta roofing contractors to choose from, many of them do wonderful work at very reasonable prices. Unfortunately, separating the good apples from the bad is a confusing task; it gets even more confusing when all you have to go on is a few lines in the yellow pages!

In her quest to find a roofing contractor, Atlanta area resident Tomi Johnson decided to skip the phone book and give HomeAdvisor a shot. The work done to her Marietta home was so impressive, and her contractor fit the bill so well, two years later she used HomeAdvisor again when she and her husband Kurk wanted new granite counters for their kitchen.

"We've had nightmares with contractors who worked on our house before," Tomi said. "We had heard that HomeAdvisor's people were bonded and insured. With big projects like the roof and countertops, we wanted to use a reputable company."

Great Granite Counters in Atlanta, GA
One of the things many homeowners love about HomeAdvisor is that they can peruse reviews of individual companies written by previous clients. To find the perfect Atlanta granite counter company, Tomi searched HomeAdvisor.com and submitted requests to several contractors she picked because of the overwhelmingly positive reviews they received from other homeowners. Tomi knew immediately that she had found the right company for the job when she was contacted by TAM Marble and Granite LLC in Atlanta. Granite counters are a big investment, and the positive feeling she got from TAM's representatives coupled with the favorable reviews she read from other homeowners put her on the right track to a job well done.

"Their prices were competitive, and their sales manager, Jorge Quintero, was exceptional," Tomi said. "He was very positive and seemed to empathize with our needs. Any questions we had, he was able to answer. He personally wanted to make sure the job was done right and that we were satisfied."

A Perfect Fit for the Right Price
"My husband had seen black-galaxy granite in other kitchens and businesses and really liked the look of it, especially how the light reflects off it and makes it look like it has specks of gold," Tomi said. "We had a budget, but Kurk was really adamant about having the black galaxy. Jorge worked with us so we could get what we wanted. He wanted to make sure we were thrilled with the outcome."

Install Countertops

TAM's team installed the 60-square-foot countertop, along with a vanity countertop for the bathroom, in less than a day. In addition, Jorge guided the Johnsons in choosing a new kitchen sink that would match the countertop.

"I showed Tomi a brochure of undermount sinks that would fit with the new countertop," Jorge said. "We helped pick the right sink shape for her and installed it as part of the project."

Results Worth Celebrating!
In an industry where getting exactly what you want can be a very difficult process for all parties involved, HomeAdvisor takes a lot of pride in the fact that so many of the projects we help put together leave both the contractor and the homeowner completely satisfied. For the Johnsons, finding Atlanta roofers and countertop specialists was as fulfilling as it was easy, and they were happy to let us (as well as some of their friends) share in the satisfaction of a job well done!

Once TAM finished the countertop installation, the Johnsons hosted a party and invited Jorge. Tomi and Kurk were so pleased with his company's work that they recommended TAM to their friends at the get-together.

"The good thing about HomeAdvisor is that you know you're going to have someone who's bonded and licensed," Tomi said. "For us, the added value was the pleasure of working with nice people."
