Spray Foam Insulation, New Home Insulation, Injection Foam Insulation , and 2 more
"RetroFoam has absolutely exceeded our expectations. Could not give a higher recommendation. We had the pleasure of working with three different crews on three different projects. Crew #2 and #4 were the most recent projects. We spray foamed a new build. They were quick, clean, and detail orientated. The second job was insulating from the outside of our early 1900s built home. It was a nightmare job with no fault on the crew. I was absolutely freaking out for the pre existing condition of our home, and they were the best. They were so kind, and helpful. They did everything they could, and came back with an even better plan and ahead of what they originally gave us for a date. They are definitely a company that over delivers on every deadline and promise. Trustworthy, dependable, clean, and efficient. Also, must give credit to the office staff. Incredible people, that will actually call back, and help in every way and then some if they see fit. Retrofoam has made a stressful construction process the best it can beâ ¦in a world full of companies that donâ t take the time to care about their customers this business is one of a kind! A must hire for all insulation needs."

"He was great. I called him up for some garage door struts after my door started acting up, and beginning it to bend-in while opening. He dropped it off in the matter of hours and I was able to fix it myself within an hour. Thanks!"

Crawlspace Insulation, Blown in Insulation - Install or Upgrade, Energy Inspections , and 1 more
"These guys are the pros for insulating and improving your home energy efficiency. They learned what I was trying to do, reduce second floor temp difference to reduce cold air down draft to the first floor. I had an energy audit done by a separate contractor and found the top 5 things I could do to improve the draft issue as well as improve my energy efficiency. Ecology Products came and recommended how to insulated my attic and crawl spaces to create a better insulating layer. But what I did not expect but blew me away was three things: 1. They recommended a batting backed vinyl solution vs foam board in the crawl spaces to double the R rating. 2. They removed useless batting on the roof side of the crawl space. Not only was the batting useless, it actually blocked airflow causing moisture and a small patch of black mold was found in the attic as a result. They also sprayed mold killer to resolve that issue which they said is very common. They did this at no extra cost. 3. They we extremely responsive to the inquiry, initial meeting and actual insulation work. It was all done in less than 2 weeks. If you have a home older than 20 years, you should consider doing an energy audit and improving your insulation. There was one recommendation we could not do which was insulate around joists along slanted walls on the second floor due to lack of access. I plan to addressing that the next time I redo the roofing. I also used this opportunity to caulk the soffits to reduce a bee issue we have (I live in the country). I have more work to do to better insulate and seal foundation joists in the basement, but at least I know what I can do to improve my home now."

"K Fedewa Builders installed an extension to our driveway to make it easier to get a snowmobile trailer in and out without ruining our lawn. They did a great job with prep and installation, as well as seeding the grass around the driveway section they installed afterward."

Ventilation for Attic & Crawl Spaces, Solar, Home & Pool Inspections , and 7 more
"Steve is knowledgeable and credible. He educated us about heat leaks in our crawl space after his inspection. He spent a good deal of time with us answering all of our questions. He is personable and professional. We had two other insulation people before Steve. One spent no time with us and the other one did not know what the problem was. Both were more expensive. The men who came to do the job were friendly and professional . The job was done in a timely manner and was reasonably priced. I would hire them again and recommend them to others."

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
