"I don't really know if this electrostatic air filtration system works yet since I haven't actually lived in the house yet.  My mother passed away this past July 2012, and her caregiver polluted the house with scented candles.  It took three months of outgassing the house in a hot summer with no A/C running to finally get the smells out.  Now I am having work done on the house, and the VOCs from the glues and adhesives that are being used to put hardwood on the stairs, install new windows, caulk a bathtub, and fix up some old tile work may keep me out of the house for a few more months.
Do have this filtration system installed if you are actually living in your house at the time of the installation.  Otherwise, you won't know if it's really doing its job or not.
