Although what we budgeted for a NEW a/c AND furnace was quite a bit less than what we paid, that bid was 6 years old, and for a smaller unit that would not have been sufficient. Our A/C died two years ago, furnace was original to the house at 30 years and counting, so all in all we felt we got a fair bid with excellent equipment and fantastic warranties. Alex gave us some different choices, so we could sort of choose how much we wanted to spend based on our specific needs and budget. "We recently had Same Day Heating and Air Conditioning come to our house to inspect our furnaces before turning the furnaces on during the cooler winter months and they discovered that both units had gas leaks. The system is 20 years old so it wasnâ t a complete surprise although we had hoped to put off replacing them for about 1-2 years. The technician/ inspector was knowledgeable, thorough and professional in showing us pictures of the worn, damaged furnaces (2). He explained the options for repairs and replacement as well as pricing considerations. In the end we decided to have them install 2 new furnaces and 2 new heat pumps to replace our old AC units. The installation was scheduled and completed within a short time frame and done with as little disruption to our home and family as possible. Efficient and neat in their work, I can happily recommend Same Day Heating and AC. "On initial inspection, they discovered that our old heat registers were the kind with asbestos (house built in the 60's), so they had to sub out the abatement part of the job. Once abatement was complete, the workers showed up each day at the time they said they would arrive. They were all friendly and professional. They kept everything clean. The took pictures in the attic to show me before, during, and after the work. They explained what they were doing and showed me the new ducting they were installing (quiet ducts) and explained the more "up-to-date" way of putting in the duct work than what we had. After the work was complete, we noted that the furnace ran much quieter (due to new ducting), and it ran WAY less often. The house stayed much warmer while running the furnace much less often. Best of all, our gas bill dropped! Now that we're moving into summer, the house seems to be staying cooler on these warm days. We don't have A/C so we're hoping the new insulation will keep the house cooler as the days continue to warm up. Very happy with the company and all the work they did. I would recommend them!"

"I had three top rated heating and air conditioning contractors bid on the installation of air conditioning to my existing heating system. I wanted a quite and efficient two stage ac unit that would work with the variable speed blower in the heating system. Carini was the only contractor that based their bid on a heat load calculation rather than some rules of thumb that tend to oversize the ac system. Their analysis indicated that I needed a three ton unit. The other contractors said that I needed a four or five ton unit, but the blower in the existing furnace and the ductwork would only support a three ton unit. One of the other contractors no bid the job after I said I was not going to install a new furnace and ductwork. The other bidder said they would install a three ton unit but would not guarantee satisfaction. At this point I didn't know who was right. I then contacted my neighbors with AC and the same model home as I have. They all said that they had 3 ton units and we very satisfied. Based on their results I contracted with Carini Heating and Air Conditioning. The installation was planned for one day but actually took 2 and a half days. The installation itself was done in a day and a half but complications with integrating a 2 stage AC unit with a variable speed furnace from another manufacturer required another day to resolve. To his credit, when Jason Baer the project manager found out about the problems integrating the Bryant AC unit with a York furnace he assigned their lead service technician, Anthony DeCarolis to integrate the two units. After several hour of studying both the ac manual and the furnace manual Anthony was able to achieve the expected performance by a combination of DIP switch and jumper setting in both units and the installation of a two stage thermostat. Although I took a few days longer than planned, I am very happy with the overall performance of Carini and my new air conditioner."
