"Wonderful. I called PANDA and they came out in 2 days and did the work in 1. These brothers treat you right and do the right job! They did my central heat repairs 2 1/2 years ago and they were the first ones I called again when the air went and I was right to do so. Thank you Serge and Mark!"

"Kahlil is very professional, takes his time to answer questions, arrived at appointed time even during a rain storm. During the course of the install, it was found wiring for the air conditioning needed to be changed from 110 to 220. Khalif found someone to take care of it immediately. The men working with him -Andy and Jose, were courteous, left the work site in a neat and clean order- they placed protective coverings down to protect my wood floors. We are now enjoying a comfortable evening in our home . I highly recommend Khalifa and his company"

"After spending over $800 on other repair guys who had no clue what to do and deserted me after insisting that I pay upfront and living with a too-warm fridge for 10 months, I thankfully was referred to Justin. He promptly came to our house to diagnose. He ended up taking the integrated fridges out of the cabinetry in order to really figure out the problem (no one else had thought of this before). He came back a few days later as planned and tackled the mystery. He quickly discovered something that was not apparent when the fridges were in the cabinetry: the fridge lights were not turning on when you opened the fridge they were always on. He smartly inference that the lights were heating up the fridges. He taped a makeshift magnet on the inside of each fridge that allowed the fridge lights to turn off when you closed the doors. This also allowed the fan to run, which had never run before. Turns out the person who installed the fridges totally forgot to install the bar with the magnet in each fridge. All of a sudden we had working fridges. Justin then ordered the magnet pieces from Smeg and came back to install (and remove makeshift magnets) when they came in. We are so relieved to have working fridges! And he was super nice and very reasonably priced (way less than the other guys/companies who did nothing). I will use only Justin for any other appliance issues that come up."

"Mel and his team did an excellent job fixing the air conditioner at my business. Initially, the estimate was a little over my budget, but Mel helped me adjust it to fit it, which I really appreciated. If you're looking for a good air conditioning technician, they are very honest and knowledgeable."

"I wish there were a rating higher than 5...that's how good they were. Alex S. & Dimitri were professional, courteous, timely and explained every step. I used them to clean out the dryer vent, but will also be hiring this company to clean out the air conditioning vents as well."

"Moh and his partner were such sweet guys, explained everything to me before starting anything and took the time to make sure everything part of air conditioning system was cleaned and in perfect working order at the capacity the air conditioner should be working. They went above and beyond. Highly recommend them!!"
Most professional HVAC technicians require two to three hours to complete an expansion valve replacement. The timeframe depends on your unit's accessibility and whether additional repairs are needed. The process involves recovering refrigerant, removing the old valve, installing the new component, and recharging the system. Scheduling during less busy seasons may result in more convenient appointment times.
Operating your air conditioner with a malfunctioning expansion valve isn't advisable. Continuing to run the system could potentially damage other components, particularly your compressor, which is significantly more expensive to replace. If you notice performance issues like inconsistent cooling or unusual noises, it's best to have your system inspected before continuing regular use.
Expansion valves don't have a standard replacement schedule, as their longevity depends on system usage, maintenance frequency, and environmental factors. Regular professional maintenance helps identify potential valve issues before they cause system failure. Having your HVAC system serviced annually allows technicians to monitor component condition and recommend preventative replacements when necessary.
Refrigerant leaks require prompt professional attention. If your expansion valve is leaking, you'll likely notice reduced cooling performance and possibly hear hissing sounds near the unit. Addressing leaks quickly prevents further system inefficiency and avoids the environmental impact of released refrigerant. Your HVAC technician will need to repair the leak and recharge the system with the proper refrigerant type and amount.
Because many AC issues present similar symptoms, professional diagnosis is recommended. Problems like inadequate cooling, inconsistent temperatures, or strange noises could indicate expansion valve issues, but might also stem from refrigerant leaks, electrical problems, or airflow restrictions. A qualified HVAC technician has the tools and expertise to accurately identify the root cause and recommend appropriate repairs.
