",I asked Mike of SustainScape and two other landscape firms that are highly rated on Yelp for a design and cost estimate to execute the design for my front and side yards. I am very particular about my landscaping. It is my hobby and what I wanted is a little different than the usual.
The other two firms were also very professional and I am pretty confident that their work is good. All three were pretty close in price.
But Mike of Sustain Scape was the only one who really read and responded to all the items in the brief that I had prepared. Mike's design  reflected the needs and the style I had outlined. And, in addition, he brought ideas that improved it in many ways, all based on the problems that I had outlined in the brief, as things I wanted solved.
As professionals, we all like to stick to the things we have done before, to produce a result that has worked before. But Mike had the confidence to respond to my difficult requests with very creative ideas for things that they don't do every day,  and then execute them flawlessly.  
Mike has very high standards. When he inspected one piece of stonework that I thought looked fine, he had his crew tear it down partially and rebuild it the way he wanted it. And his crew works to very high standards. They consistently surprised me with the extra bit of thought and quality that they put into their work. I see it and appreciate it in little details every day as I enjoy my front yard.
Bottom line: Sustain Scape exceeded my very high expectations.

"We purchased a townhome in Flagstaff several months ago. The unit is situated on a small hill with a pine forest to the rear. There was a small patio in the rear yard. However, the soil was eroding down the hill into the valley below and the patio was cracking due to the unstable soil. I contacted Angelsun Landscaping and Michael inspected the problem and came up with a solution to stop the erosion and stabilize the rear yard with a retaining wall and extending our brick paver patio. JP, Michael's father suggested additional items and solutions. The work took just a little over a week. We were not at the property while the work was taking place. When we arrived to view the work...we were totally blown away by the improvements. They were better than expected. The new patio was magnificent!! In addition, an aluminum wrought iron style fence was added plus a planting area. All the work exceeded our expectations. "My husband and I just bought a house. We called Outdoor Xscapes and they were able to come out the following day. A gentleman named Joel came out. We told Joel our general ideas of what we were wanting. He came back 3 weeks later and give us way more than we expected. Their design went above and beyond anything else I had received from any other companies. We did major overhaul on our pool that started with an antiquated chlorine system that was installed in the 70's. We converted to a salt water-state and redid everything except the shape and the basic structure. There were a couple unforeseen items that came up early on in the project. Joel was able to address them quickly and knew exactly what needed to be done to fix them. He was very fair with his pricing for the additional work. He was able to explain what had happened and what needed to be done in order to ensure that our pool would last for the next 20-30 years. Our yard and pool is absolutely gorgeous and we've been outside enjoying it ever since it was finished. We're looking forward to many more lazy days. It's awesome to have such a beautiful place in my own backyard."
