"I have used Mason Works on a previous project in 2017 (new stone wall and front step repair) and was very happy with their work. This project was to replace driveway including matching previous stone wall, add granite curbing to right side and complete replacement of existing asphalt. Stone wall is great, granite curbing is great but does not fully match in size or color (they explained that this is typical when ordering granite) and driveway really is just OK. They use a more course asphalt mi than you'd typically see and they explained that it lasts longer. My issues with driveway: • Driveway not evenly smooth, quite a few rougher spots • Section on side of driveway that you can see it's not evenly rolled • They said to wait 5 days to park on it and I waited 3 weeks instead but there are several tire marks already from parking on it"

I didn't know exactly what I wanted to start with, but John was patient in explaining the issues and getting me to consider bluestone. I originally leaned away from bluestone because I thought the color would be wrong, but John has a good relationship with a stoneyard where they actually hand-picked some stones with brown patches, and the final patio looks great with the brownish house. Given the number of man-hours involved I thought the price was fair."
