"The Cabinet and Counter Project took National Builders just 5 days to complete...The workers were prompt to work every one of those days...Mark, the Supervisor, and Mike, the Foreman, were very professional in their positions and the various workers were very industrious in their respective roles...I was very appreciative of the meticulous work that was done by the workers...I would definitely recommend National Builders to anyone looking for Cabinet and Counter assistance..."

"Excellent work. We purchased natural cherry cabinets in shaker style, with the panels made of solid wood rather than veneer. That is more difficult work, as each panel has to be constructed from several planks. Moreover, the clear finish would leave any flaws more visible. Simply put, the doors are beautiful--flawless in both construction and finish. They are similar in quality to custom cherry furniture we own."

"No job is too big or too small for Toa and Kyle Home Solutions. Kyle does it all! My first contract with Kyle involved cleaning gutters, repairing a screen door, and changing the floor tile in the bathroom. This morphed into a huge project that took nearly a year to complete. When Kyle removed the existing bathroom floor tile, he discovered extensive termite damage that had been left by a previous contractor. It was like peeling the layers of an onion. The more Kyle uncovered, the grimmer it looked. He found that the termite damage had extended to two supporting beams downstairs. It involved consulting with a structural engineer and a pest control specialist to determine the exact extent of the termite damage. Kyle took the time to trouble shoot and brainstorm the project, consult with outside experts, and then set up a plan of action that covered two phases: 1. Replacing and reinforcing the beams to support the upstairs floor and 2. Changing out the termite eaten wood and renovating the entire upstairs (new flooring, tub, vanity, cabinets et. al.) Throughout the entire project, Kyle was extremely professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. I so appreciated his patience with me as he sometimes had to explain and re-explain the process until I understood. He is extremely efficient and thorough, and his communication skills are beyond measure. He kept me posted continually throughout the work and sent pictures so I could see the progress. Prior to the onset of any phase, I was given a detailed description of the work to be done and it's cost. If I had questions, he promptly explained them. Kyle also had a unique ability to assess a problematic situation and offer an array of solutions so that I could pick the one that best fit my budget and timeline. I plan to use Kyle for future projects and highly recommend him without any reservations whatsoever. He is simply amazing! Your next home improvement project is in great hands with Toa and Kyle Home Solutions!"

"When we decided to redo our kitchen in April of 2012, we knew what we wanted fixed, our budget and that's about it. We started talking to contractors, kitchen design centers and researching ideas. We quickly realized we were in WAY over our heads. A lot of places offer free design services if you buy all of your materials through them. We didn't want to be tied down. We didn't want a complete tear down to the studs, either. Homemade Design to the rescue! First of all the price was an absolute steal for the service provided. Amanda and co. Listened to what we wanted and came up with inovative, functional and beautiful solutions. Our house is old. We wanted to keep that 1920s feel, but still have a dishwasher, granite countertops and stainless appliances! Amanda had the brilliant idea of only replacing the bottom cabinets. She also gave me excellent instructions on how to refinish my existing cabinets so they look like new. This was a perfect solution for US. Homemade Design gave us ideas for layout, cabinets, lighting, wall paint, appliances, furniture, countertops, backsplash, faucets, sink, and cusions for built in. She would have recommended flooring if we wanted, but we didn't. Now, Amanda is more like a consultant...( I actually called her my kitchen remodel therapist). You still are ultimately responsible for the plan and what works for you. If your measurements are off (like mine were) that's on you. I was adament about no island and no microwave over the stove and so she didn't put those in the design. Some suggestions were not my style. And I said so. Honestly, if I picked out my own kitchen it would be so safe: white subway tile or something. Amanda gave me the guts to mix patterns and create something spectacular! It took almost a year to complete ( contractors fault) We did a lot of work ourselves. We bought the cabinets, backsplash tile, light fixtures, table and banquette cusions through Homemade Design at a great discount, we checked!! If you try shopping for any part of your kitchen, the volume of choices can be overwhelming. We loved having Amanda narrow it down for us. Communication was through email, mostly. She never took longer than three business days to respond to my million questions or concerns. Awesome. 5 months later, my kitchen is a dream come true. And I owe it all to Homemade Design!

I have worked as a self contractor in California for over 7 years for commercial and residential management companies. I started my career as a handyman and learned how to repair fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, or hardware, using carpenters hand or power tools. I quickly transitioned to electrical repair, basic plumbing, and appliance installation, then focused more on interior remodeling projects. As required in the job posting, my expertise includes drywall, flooring, roofing, painting major plumbing, windows, and doors. I am skilled at reconstructing damaged walls, ceilings, and floors, and revitalizing outdated kitchens and baths. I also am able to create custom solutions to accommodate small spaces. Clients often notice my diligence and attention to detail, and I have received an abundance of positive feedback throughout my career. It is common for managers to assign me as lead handyman for large projects because they know I am reliable and hardworking and knowledgeable.

"We are 3/4th's of the way completed and I'm confident I will continue to be completely more than satisfied with KNA's professional work. What stands out for me in working with KNA is the role of the General Contractor and the outstanding men who have been working on my deck. First, the General Contractor, Ben, is involved in every aspect of the job and keeps me abreast of the job while also recommending areas of importance. His expertise was invaluable as a lot of his initial concerns on the deck have been shown to be true. Both Ben and his men's enthusiasm and love for their job is evident everyday by how they explain what they are doing and the importance on why they are doing it a certain way. They are focused on doing the best job possible. Their work ethics is a reflection of their boss, Ben. When Ben first came out to my home he immediately noted the wood rot and made it clear he can't determine the extent of the wood rot until they start to remove a couple deck boards to install flashing. He also voiced his concerns how the deck was originally waterproofed and stated how he believes decks such as mine should be done and explained why. He also made some key recommendations to improve the safety of the deck and to make it more efficient such as: 1. He noted the railings of the deck was a safety concern due to the wood rot. 2. He noted how they could divert water to our gutter system in an area where water falls freely and adds to the flooding we get during heavy rain beneath the deck. 3. Because of flooding we get during heavy rain, Ben, extended the deck by a foot so it will overlap our lower deck. This is extremely helpful in that the water runoff does not fall directly on our concrete beneath the deck where it pools/floods, but, rather the water would fall onto our lower deck which is built over a downward slope. 4. He recommended sidings to be used underneath the deck to hide the joists. During the course of this job, we are in our third and last revision to our contract due to the extensiveness of the wood rot. The extensive wood rot was found to be due to flashing not installed, the majority of the deck was not sloped for water runoff, plywood used was only 1/2 inch thick and not the required 3/4 inch thick (the plywood also had wood rot). As a result of the above, it became clear the deck was an accident waiting to happen as the railings were extremely loose due to the wood rot. It also became clear the job could not have been done with a band aid fix. It needed to be totally torn down and rebuilt. We are in the finishing phases were KNA will now apply the final touches of painting and water proofing the deck. A quick note-when the sidings were recommended to hide the joists he mentioned this would be a good time to also add some lighting. The only additional cost to me was the buying of the lighting fixtures, everything else was within the budget. KNA treated my home as if it were their own. Recommending changes that didn’t add"
