"Derek did an amazing job refinishing and upholstering 10 chairs for us, and fixing and refinishing a custom table and buffet we had built that wasnâ t finished correctly. He did an amazing job. He is a true craftsman. We canâ t wait to find a new project for him. He builds and refinishes all kinds of stuff. Excellent workmanship and great customer service. We highly recommend his work."

"Great work love my new cabinets"

"They did an excellent job - sofa looks like new!"

"We love our cabinets! They look fantastic while remaining affordable. The friendly staff at AWD helped us from start to finish. They are very knowledgeable and gave us advice and tips when needed. They were receptive and patient with our ever-changing needs. Once we finalized our purchase, we received our cabinets within two weeks! The cabinets are very sturdy and the color is beautiful. The hinges and hardware are high quality. We are extremely pleased with AWD and would recommend them to any friends or family looking for good cabinets at a fair price."

"One of the best contractors we have ever dealt with.  On the first phone
call I left a message and got a call back within 10 minutes and every time we called thru the entire project - that was the case.  Unheard of in this day and age.
Mark is the real deal.  He listens to you and understands what you want
and HE is not satisfied until you get it.  The project was slated for 4
to 6 weeks.  It did take extra time, but this was a high end kitchen
with a LOT of custom touches (ie: added cabinets/redesigned and enlarged
pantry closet, removed desk and added more cabinets, new center island,
all new floor and bathroom tiles, relocated fridge and added oven, all
LED lighting, removed tub and converted to tiled shower, reworked
plumbing, etc etc etc)  The job was completed in 8 weeks.  This was very
understandable.  Mark's employees are very conscientious and thoughtful
regarding what the customer wants and they are also some of the best
people you will ever meet.
Wolak Interiors does not do new construction - only remodeling - so keep
that in mind.  But if you are looking for this kind of work, weather
kitchen, bathroom or other - you are talking about the best in the
business when you call this company.
We will be calling them back in a year or two to do our master bath and closet/laundry room rework.

"We live in windsor woods during a 2016 flood of the area. Eighteen inches of dark water entered our home at a alarming rate. Everything two feet an below had to go. We were overwhelmed an tired. Jim arrived like a breath of fresh air. He truly wanted our home to look good an saved us money every chance he had. He always arrived on time an called to reassure us at our most insecure times. He took time to teach me how to paint, bringing me supplies to make my jobs easier an professional as well. He works very steady is tidy an completes the job. My kitchen cabinets are on order an he is installing them as well. I would recommend him to my children an every one else. He has a sense of humor an likes dogs a real plus in my book. I say do it right the first time an save money an so does Jim."

"That went very well. They came out and they painted the room. They were done in about an hour and a half. It was really good quality work."

"Went great easy process, I love how the cabinets look in my kitchen now brought life back into the room. Will be coming back to get some spare rooms done next"

"The good:
- The people were friendly for the most part
- They did good work in some ways
- Their subcontractors did good work
- They gave us a quartz counter top "for free" for our desk
- They did a couple extra things without charging us
- Everything looks good (if you don't look too closely)
The bad:
- I did not like the communication in the beginning, but I hoped, based on the reviews they got, that they would do a good job. I was disappointed with a lot of things - see below.
- I had to prepare my own detailed cost estimate (based on their difficult to understand e-mails) and get them to let me know if my estimate was correct or not. They would only give me a lump sum price and very little detail on what I was getting.
- They seemed to have never worked with the Cabinet Factory before. It was almost impossible to get any information about the cabinets we bought prior to signing a contract. Neither Get It Done (GID) or the Cabinet Factory wanted to talk to us about them. In the beginning I asked for no fiberboard and ended up with lots of fiberboard. Also, GID apparently does not know what fiberboard is - they were trying to tell me the kick-boards were not fiberboard (they are). The cabinets seem pretty low quality although at the time I was told by the Cabinet Factory that the cabinets I was getting were good quality and approaching the cost of the high end cabinets. One of the sliders in the pantry broke right away because there was too much weight. I never had this problem with my previous cabinets.
- They used wax crayon as paint in many locations on the cabinets. This is bad because it is not intended as paint, it is sticky, and wipes off easily.
- They told me it would be $100 more per fixture (about $1000) for LED under cabinet lighting. I still don't understand why they say it costs that much more. The lights they installed get very hot.
- There was very little attention to detail. They were going to stop the peninsula cabinets about 6 inches short of the end of the floor tile. It would have looked really silly - fortunately, I caught it in time and got them to adjust it.
- They put two joints in my crown molding about 12 inches apart and did a poor job with the joints. It looks very bad.
- The painting of the walls was bad. They missed lots of areas and they wanted me to mark all the areas they missed for them.
- They did not plan out the closet desk and shelves well at all. I told them I wanted a shelf for a TV, and they gave me shelves that weren't wide enough. Then they rigged it to work after lots of discussion.
