"Miguel Concrete Work was easy to work with and very fair. Only needing a small patio addition was difficult to get concrete due to so much home construction, but Miquelon made it happen. His crew was great and the patio looks great."

"So grateful for the help of this top notch company! What started as a plumbing issue became a shower reno and the results exceeded my expectations! I had ideas for what I wanted, including a long shelf that I had seen in a design picture. This crew made it happen, and our new shower looks amazing. The price was fair and the work is exceptional. I would highly recommend them for any household and outdoor projects."

"I recently bought a house and a few issues were pointed out by inspections. These guys were referred to me by friends and after getting a few bids, I had them fix my problems. They werent the cheapest, but they fixed my issues and that was all that really mattered to me.

"We hired A7 to update and repair several areas on our property and house that included laying a long horseshoe driveway and parking area with a 20 x30 carport, building a small 10×10 deck, replacing back door, rebuilding frontsteps, replacing bedroom carpet with laminate wood flooring, and finally painting the outside, including trim, of the house and the 12 ×30 shed. Shawn, Ethan, and team were on time and professional, and they paid attention to detail. Shawn did a great job communicating with us on a regular basis, and was very flexible with us when we needed him to be. This was very important as a couple of the above listed repairs were added on after the initial hire. He quickly took care of problems that occured, and made sure that we were satisfied with the solutions. We would recommend A7 Concrete and Constrction without hesitation."

"Great - Repaired cracks in driveway on time and within budget. We will definitely use their services again!"
Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
