"Mr. Cory Schechter came to the work site to discuss options for removing gardens inside the screened patio area. Our plan was to have the gardens dug out and concrete poured and stamped to butt to the existing concrete patio. Mr. Schechter was extremely helpful to us in deciding a course of action that would be the most cost effective method. He let us know that pouring concrete would create the possibility of future cracks and would be expensive. We discussed many options and we were extremely impressed by his professional knowledge and honesty. We ultimately dug the gardens out ourselves and used decorative rocks to fill the area; we are very grateful for his suggestions.

"Very good work done almost immediately after signing contract in 3 days removing old concrete and installing pavers (unlike different quote with up to 12 weeks' timeframe). Clean job, great price! Friendly crew."

"Gavin Gordon was super professional and a great help in answering all our questions prior to the foundation raise. Then Anthony and George arrived on site and very quickly raised the concrete around our pool that had settled over time. We had no issues during the service and are very pleased with the final look of the concrete - we canâ t believe how much the concrete was raised. We would recommend Alpha Foudations all day every day!"

"Having received several quotes to relay our paver walkway that was destroyed for a plumbing job and having dealt with so much delay on other numerous house projects, i very pleasantly surprised by A1 Pavers and Concrete's efficiency. The quote and actual completion of the project took a mere 3 days. Andy's quote was very fair and his communication with both myself and my husband was extrodinary and professional. Somehow, we lost almost 1/3 of our pavers - A1 was able to provide us with a near perfect match to our existing pavers. Though the cost of our project increased due to this dilemma, their price for the pallet of pavers was amazing. Honestly, if we would've met A1 Pavers and Concrete before today, we would've hired them for ALL our concrete and paver needs. Don't look any further and hire A1 Pavers and Concrete! You will not have any regrets. Our only regret is not having found them before now!"

"They did a fantastic job. The floor looks fantastic. They showed up timely and completed the job in 2 days with no problems. Their office was excellent in communicating with me, helping me schedule the job in a timely manner. They also did not require any down payment until they began the job. Definitely would recommend them."

"We have been trying for the past 5 years to get a contractor to do a concrete slab with a permit for our back and side patio. After multiple estimates where we were told either that a permit was not required or that the job was too small, we were almost giving up until a friend recommended Angie's List. We got a few contractors names from the web site and finally narrowed it down to two. We really liked Mr. Danilo Leyva from American Stamp Concrete and decided to give him the job. He came across as honest, hard-working, knowledgeable and reliable. All of the above proved to be true not only for him but also fr his crew. The entire team is fantastic, they work well together, help each other and clean up at the end! The outcome was excellent. Working with Danilo was a pleasure, pulling the permit and scheduling the inspections was no big deal (as other contractors claimed), he always shows up when he says he will (very unusual in So Fla) and delivers what he promised. We highly recommend Danilo (American Stamp Concrete) not only for driveways but also for patios."

"Boca Concrete responded within a couple hours to schedule a visit and provide estimate. Estimate was fair and work started as scheduled. Good customer service and good work. I recommend !"
Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
