"I spoke to Giselle at Concrete Creations and received a quote for a new semi-circle driveway for the front of my residence. In addition to the driveway, I wanted a connecting sidewalk to both of my front doors. The quote was extremely reasonable, and she was very professional. It took me 3 months to get this approved in The Woodlands due to the amount of paved surface area versus natural surface. When approved, Concrete Creations completed the work quickly. I am thrilled at the result and think they "hit it out of the park." The new driveway is awesome! Thank you!"

"I had the walkway from the house replaced, plus widened along with the entire driveway and sidewalks in front of the house during the last week of April and first week of May this year (2026). The previous concrete areas had shifted, sunk, along with cracking and tilling due to age, wear and tear plus multiple city water main breaks in the 50 years since the house was originally built. Jason L. at bigtexcc.jason@gmail.com did the estimate, work with his crew on site beginning to end. This included the estimate, a recent survey and permitting for what we were having done. He used all of his own equipment to remove the old concrete, setting up forms based on what we wanted enlarged in some areas and the setting up of the rebar, scheduling the delivery of concrete and getting the new wet concrete throughout where it was needed without damaging areas outside of the desired work spaces. I found Jason thru Angie's list and like others that spoke so highly of his work on the Angie site."

"Jim Ellis replaced 32 feet of our driveway which had cracked due to soil subsidence. He did an excellent job. He started on the date promised, finished when promised and cleaned up the area perfectly. It looks great. I'd certainly recommend him."

"The crew showed up on time and went to work on the project. The weather was terrible, but they stayed on it deep into the night. The concrete turned out good, but was affected by the weather, overall a good experience."

"They replaced the concrete around our pool and the crew did a great job. Also appreciated that they were friendly, on time and always cleaned up after themselves. There was great communication with the office, especially with Rachel who always kept us updated. Definitely recommend this company!"

"I hired Sullivent Services back in 2014 and 2017. 2 phases. The first was to expand the concrete patio in my backyard. That went well. I hired them back in 2017 to deck the patio and that also went very well. These guys know what they are doing and they do a good job."

"Jose, the owner, was incredibly professional. He kept me updated every step of the way. I talked to Jose on a Tuesday. He sent me the quote-no surprises, and The Concrete Crew was at my house 2 days later, on time, ready to go! His crew was excellent! They were adding a 10X10 slab. They finished the job that day. They cleaned my yard of all debris. I would highly recommend The Concrete Crew."

FAQs for concrete work projects in Conroe, TX

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.

Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.

Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.

An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
