"The project was done in a timely manner, the workmanship was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I would hire again! Needed a concrete pad and sidewalk poured for the installation of an outdoor walk-in cooler at our farm."

"The work was perfect. He's capable of addressing both basic masonry work as well as more detailed, complex and intricate masonry work. He is a diligent, hard worker. His price was extremely competitive as well. He's honest and delivers as he promises. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again. He's absolutely top notch."

"Had Henry remove a 12-15 inch thick 5x5 slab of concrete that needed to be removed. He showed up very quickly and knocked it out in a few hours with cleanup and haul away. Very professional and keeps you updated the whole time. Highly recommend."

"The review and estimate were quick and professional. The contract was fully descriptive and included write up of all state consumer protections. Minor changes to the contract were turned around in a few days. Their crews are very busy, so I waited in the queue for three weeks. When I became worried, the office quickly returned my calls with info of how long remained. When the team arrived, they worked straight through the day. They broke up the old concrete, prepped the crushed rock bed, laid a wire mesh, and mixed, poured and smoothed the new concrete. When the initial curing was well along, they had evaluated the ramp and decided on a concrete one. Here, the crew was so busy that I had some difficulty getting a response on the ramp. But the response, when it came, was a same day laying of the ramp."

"Leo of M&L Landscaping and Construction took a look at the job and knew it wasn’t going to be easy. He quoted and we ultimately agreed to go forward. I provided a down payment and about a week later he and his team arrived on site, manually excavated holes to pour concrete piers and poured the concrete. After cure time, his team installed Lally columns and necessary supporting beams and the job was done. Leo’s team stayed on task and were very committed to finishing the job professionally. Great, hard-working team and very professional."

"I thought garage Force did a phenomenal job on my two car garage floor. They had to Diamond grind for concrete and continued from there to add the coding. It took them two full days in the result was excellent. Great work ethic. He will go out of his way to make sure you're happy with the job. Highly recommend"

"Perfect! The removal of the pre-existing concrete patio took and entire day of hard work with some heavy equipment and lots of muscle. Once the old concrete was removed and disposed of, the site was excavated to prepare the underlying base of crushed stone and sand for the pavers. The paver installation went well, but required last minute cutting into small pieces to fit some difficult spots (around the cellar hatchway). Everything looks beautiful compared to the older poured concrete. We're totally satisfied with the project and the team who did the work!"

"Very good communication. Prompt and on time service. Unfortunately end product not as good as expected. If you looking to have your concrete floor finish with Hybrid Polymer think twice. Tom - owner very nice and polite guy. He and crew show up right on time. Looked very promising. So what went wrong? For the money I paid , I was expecting better finishing touch and better end results. Floor is covered but it looks like was done by good amateur not a pro. I think that work was bit rushed at the end , and that is what made it look poorly. PS. Note to owner: Tom , slow down. When you planing to do full day of work - do not rush. After sending old concrete make sure all dust is well cleaned. After you put primer, wait ( then wait again) till is dry before applying polymer. It will save you time ( no call backs - touchups ) and final product will be looking better."

FAQs for concrete work projects in Danvers, MA

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.

Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.

Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.

An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
