"Luckily we were fortunate to meet Michael Martinez who is an award-winning Senior Project Design Specialist, Consultant and Project Manager at Black Diamond Paver Stones & Landscape. Once we met Michael he immediately felt like a member of our family. He is extremely personable, honest and trustworthy with high morals and ethics. At our first meeting Michael took the time to get to know our family, strived to understand the goals and objectives of what we envisioned in our yard and how he could be a part of the solution to overcome some of the challenges in our backyard. He could see the bigger picture and presented design solutions to mitigate project challenges other contractors may encounter later in the job. Michael gave us a design that fulfilled many of the objectives to support the overall goals for our yard. He did an excellent cost to benefit analysis designing smarter which would allow us to get the best value. Considering the design, materials used, scope of project and Michael's expertise, his bid was very competitive. He made me feel very comfortable, and I knew that the plan was in good hands. Michael checked in often and wanted to start as soon as we received HOA approval. While waiting to obtain permission from our HOA to begin, Michael met with his job foreman Juan and us several times onsite to walk through the project. He contacted our other contractor to ensure everything would come together at the end of the project. Michael is very familiar with hardscape products which were very valuable considering the scale of the proposed work. Michael's on-site crew was always on time and had an excellent work ethic. They started at 8am and concluded at 5pm daily. During their day, there was minimal downtime. We only noted two 15 minute breaks and 30 minutes for lunch. They minimized impact from heavy machinery and constant loads of materials coming and going from the site by covering where possible front yard landscaping with plywood. At the end of each day, Michael's team would clean up which my neighbors appreciated. He checked in on site daily to ensure the project was progressing smoothly and to address any project concerns or challenges immediately. If we weren't home he'd provide updates via phone or text. We never felt out of the loop and didn't have any surprises due to Michael's excellent communication skills. When weather didn't allow for construction to continue, Michael's crew would arrive and cover the site to minimize downtime. Michael always had our family's best interests in mind. We really like that Michael handles every aspect of the project. We didn't have to deal with a separate salesperson, designer, project manager, contractor or subcontractor; he manages it all giving us peace of mind. "A cold call from this remodeling company was answered, and we honestly were in the mood for some remodeling...so they came out to talk to us. We had never heard of them before. Ohad Regev was the best! He was thorough and knowledgeable...very professional, friendly and wore a mask to protect us. He endured my questions and concerns about clean up and the work itself. His sidekick Ami was also just as good. Same qualities. They paved two steps, the sidewalk curving it to the front door, and the steps up to the front door and the landing, then the courtyard, built a little stone wall leading to the gate to the backyard and paved that walkway as well. Ricardo was the supervisor of the paving job. Same qualities as Ohad and Ami. He was knowledgeable about pavers and took us to a site to choose them. It was a pleasure to work with him as well. I told them if they did a great job, I had a bathroom that needed to be remodeled as well. Guess what? We now are in the planning stages of that. I would recommend them 100% to do anything you need. They are a big company and can satisfy any remodeling job you might need...and some you don't even know about needing! You won't be sorry in my opinion."

"Home Advisor does not have the specific category for the work that was performed of replacement of graded retaining wall up my driveway and around a structure. The work utilized excavation, concrete, wood & construction. Cristian, the owner, was the epitomy of professionalism as with every crew member. "Colin & Chuck were great to work with. We had an extensive amount of masonry work done in the backyard including laying a stone floor in our enclosed patio that they continued out into a extensive multi-level backyard stone deck, completely rebuilt a retaining wall, installed a french drain to route water around the house and put in a large fire pit. They both care deeply about the quality and the artistry of their work, checked in frequently to ensure progress was good and made a number of suggestions to enhance our design. When I compare the stonework that they did to other yards in our area, it's clear that they really took their time arranging and matching the slate tiles to balance the natural colors across all of the stonework and where we had random edge stone installed in a large circular part of of the patio, the attention to laying out different sized and shaped stones and fitting them tightly together really made the patio shine. I strongly recommend."
