"In addition to the timely and perfect lawn maintenance, we had a very large project for a retaining wall replacement and new paver walkways. This job required engineering specifications, permits and inspections, excavation, and significant labor and materials. I provided Ray a sketch of what the final project should look like. Ray took care of everything to get the project going and to finish quickly. From the sketch provided, Ray assembled the engineering specifications and ordered the materials. No waste on this project as the measurements were Perfect!! The removal of the old wall and walkway happened in a day and was carried out with extreme professionalism and safety. The new construction was very organized and went very quickly, and the finished project is EXACTLY how the sketch was drawn, and what both my wife and I had envisioned!!! Many have driven by and commented on the beauty and quality of the work from the neighbors to the mailman! We could not be happier with how everything turned out!!!! If you have an idea on your mind, or a sketch, do not hesitate to give RMP, Ray, and the crew, a shot. I would very highly recommend RMP Lawn and Landscape for any landscape project you may have (and their lawn maintenance services). Ray and his crew arrived every morning on time and worked very hard straight through each grueling day, again working with professionalism and safety. They cleaned up and secured the worksite each evening to minimize any inconvenience. I look forward to working with Ray on more projects that are already on the list for the seasons to come. Thanks Ray (and the crew)!!!!!"

"This is a review of the *experience* we had with Quality. We had the basement waterproofed, so we won't really know how good the job is until a big rainstorm! So this is just the experience we had before and during the job. We reached out to Quality based on the Angie's List reviews, and were convinced by the visit from Greg. He was so knowledgeable about the water problems, and pointed out the years of experience the company has. Also, we weren't looking for a bargain, we were looking for a dry basement, and Greg was very straightforward about all the costs. Now we haven't had a rainstorm yet, so we still don't know the most important thing about the job! But Victor and his crew were fantastic. They knew what they were supposed to do when they got here, and did the whole job-- as quietly as possible-- in less than 4 hours. They were pleasant to have in the house. They left the place clean. So big thanks to all at Quality. P S: Will update when there's a big rainstorm."

"Mike was great. I got two spots in my backyard that I wanted patio pavers, around one side of the pool and underneath my second floor deck. By the pool was approx. 250sqft with a walkway and below the deck 256sqft as well. Along with 3ft x 15ft concrete patch. I needed this project competed before the weekend and him and his crew was able to get the job in three days. Both patios look great and my wife can finally see my vision and she loves it as well."

"Built a platform out of retaining wall stone and poured concrete for a green house. Platform not entirely rectangular. Used more stones for the back than the front."

"couldn’t be happier with the concrete work completed by Avora Outdoor Living. From start to finish, the team was professional, punctual, and paid close attention to every detail. They removed the old concrete, prepared a solid base, and poured a beautiful new concrete slab with a clean, smooth finish. The crew kept the job site clean throughout the project and completed everything exactly as promised. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding, and the finished product looks amazing. Communication was excellent, pricing was fair, and the entire process was stress-free. I highly recommend Avora Outdoor Living to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality concrete work. I will definitely use them again for future projects!"

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
