"Perfect! The removal of the pre-existing concrete patio took and entire day of hard work with some heavy equipment and lots of muscle. Once the old concrete was removed and disposed of, the site was excavated to prepare the underlying base of crushed stone and sand for the pavers. The paver installation went well, but required last minute cutting into small pieces to fit some difficult spots (around the cellar hatchway). Everything looks beautiful compared to the older poured concrete. We're totally satisfied with the project and the team who did the work!"

I have seen multiple contractors doing the similar projects or even smaller than ours at my friendâ  s house and taking weeks to complete the job, in addition damaging good chunk of the lawn and sometimes even damaging sprinkler/s. However, in the case of MJ masonry, they were very gentle with the lawn and the sprinklers. They cleaned up everyday before they leave and thorough cleaning after the job done. "Father and son team with 2 other workers, father is mason with decades of experience. Their work on 2 walkways was spectacular. They used existing bluestones, put down a 3 inch concrete pad first, cemented bluestones in place, mortared joints. Then they lined the border with 4 inch wide stone (similar to cobblestones bitch cut flat). Truly an excellent job. I would hire them again, and strongly recommend them."

Bob Muldoon responded to my request for the estimate, was very informative and addressed all questions. He also indicated that my city does require a permit and he would ensure that the necessary paperwork was completed and in good order (which he did).
His team were extremely efficient as they removed the prior driveway, it was evident that they work well together and within two days - I had a drive way which was sloped well, improved the apppearance and function of my home and I am confident will last another 65 years (if cared for as advised by Muldoon Paving). I was provided written instructions as to how to care for my driveway including advise to seal it after 12 months (who knew?).
