"If you need ANY concrete work done, this is the company to call. I researched many companies in the area and the time I spent doing that was worth it. I couldn’t have asked for a better company to do my concrete work for me. They communicated well, everyone was polite and ALL were VERY professional and knowledgeable. They did exactly what they said they would do (when they would do it) and even made suggestions along the way that worked better than I originally planned. They worked closely with me and cleaned up way better than many other contractors I have worked with. They really know their business and focus on doing the best job they can for you. Amazing customer service and they went above and beyond with making me feel better with the project. As an older female, this made a world of a difference. I will definitely use them again if I need concrete work done. I just wish I could hire them for all of my other non-concrete project as well."

"We have now used Alex Construction twice and both times they did excellent work. Alex is easy to get hold of and professional to work with. His prices for our projects were very comparable to other quotes we received but upon meeting with him and discussing possibilities of how-to and what-if's we knew he was the best choice. His suggestions were spot-on and made the final result even better than expected. The crew, both times, were on time and got to work immediately. They never stood around just watching each other work. They worked tirelessly until it was time for their lunch, and then went right back to what they were doing afterwards. The crews have been happy, talking and joking with each other and a joy to have around. If I didn't understand something, there was always someone to easily explain it to me. Clean up after the day was always great, and clean up at the end of the project was too. The next concrete work we need will be done by these guys. They're the best at what they do."

"We contacted Blake to do a "tune-up" on landscaping that we'd completed a few years ago. The plan was to rplace a few dead plants, and to top dress previously installed crushed granite. The work was completed in a day, beautifully done!!!"

"We hired them to do one project and they did such a great job we hired them for two more projects. When they were finished they left the work area clean and the dirt around the project was graded. Before we hired them we had seen other projects they had done and looked great. One of those jobs was a stamped concrete project that looked great."

Small jobs welcome

"A portion of my driveway sank over the years. I needed it repaired. Dan Ramirez and his team were amazing! Their customer service is well above and beyond than most. First of all, he always responded to my inquiries within minutes. Mr. Ramirez provided an estimated quote, but was realistic with expectation management in the event unforeseen repairs were needed. He even works out a payment plan with his customers. Professional attitude, quality from start to finish, and attention to detail is what you will get from Dan and his team. Settle for nothing less. Hire him, and you won't be disappointed! If I need a general contractor again, I will go to Sierra Concrete first!"

Customers say: True professional

"I have used many concrete contractors over the years; however, Omar and his crew are at the top of the list moving forward. They are by far the cleanest crew I have encountered, the did grading work, broom filled bobcat tracks and even put fresh dirt over where the pump truck hose laid so the fescue would come back faster. Not an ounce of trash was left behind and this was all done of their own accord. Exceptional work and was well worth the added week or two wait time to get them on the job as opposed to someone else."

"Chris and his crew went over and above to make me happy. I had had 3 pool leaks on three locations - all under concrete. The repairs were completed by another contractor. The concrete poured didn’t even come close to my stained concrete. Chris told me he could match it and make my pool deck look like new. He did. He also replaced some broken tile and missing grout in tile on my patio then resealed both my patio and front porch area. I’m a happy camper. Excellent contractor!!"

FAQs for concrete work projects in Midwest City, OK

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.

Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.

Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.

An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
