"John and his crew were great, from start to finish. They removed an old brick patio, and replaced it with 1.5" Pennsylvania bluestone. In addition to replacing the existing patio, they expanded it to include 3 offshoot walkways (plus my garbage can area & 2 drywalls to bury my gutter lines). At John's suggestion, the entire bluestone work was bordered by granite blocks. He took the time to source from my local granite quarry, so that the borders would match existing stonework around my home (from that same quarry). I thought that doing a granite border would be overdoing it, as I'd never seen this done before. I was wrong. This is how it's done properly. Most importantly, John and his crew were honest, good people, and easy to work with (though at times his crew's English was an impediment - but we worked through it). Regardless, like I said, they were all good people, and very hard workers. At the end of the project (on the last day), there was actually a turn/curve in the main walkway that I thought could be done better. I wasn't happy with this one detail, but you could say it was my fault, as I hadn't previously said anything about it. True to form, and as advertised, John and his crew dug it out and fixed it/re-did it. And he was nice about it to boot. Top notch service. Highly, highly recommended."

Nik did exactly what I asked, which was to raise the new paver sidewalk from sloping down to the porch steps to being straight to steps. It came out beautiful and I love it!. "Julie did a wonderful job designing and planting our bird and butterfly-friendly woodland garden. Julie's knowledge of plants and all their nuances is outstanding, and her landscape design is artistic yet functional, and not at all formulaic. Her design integrates a pleasing array of local yet out of the ordinary plants, including many that will produce berries and flowers for the birds, as well as several non-flowering shrubs, trees, and ground covers. Julie also designed the garden so that different sections will "burst" in staggered color blooms in the spring, with some plants blooming as early as late February or early March, and others continuing the garden's bloom all the way through summer and into the early fall. She skillfully and artistically designed the garden with a variety of plant heights and textures, while keeping a very casual and natural-looking "woodland garden" theme. Julie planted everything with an eye toward locally grown, proven varieties that will thrive in our yard's unique soil and sun conditions. Her crew was hard working, friendly, and experienced. In the months following the initial planting, Julie has taken the initiative to visit us several times just to see how the plants were doing, and to see if we had any questions about watering, pruning, fertilizing, etc. Julie's passion for her creations is quite apparent. We are very pleased with Julie's work and highly recommend her. And based on all the birds and butterflies the garden has attracted, so do they! The project was to install a stone wall, forming a terrace, on a sloped bank on the street side of a colonial home. I didn't want any concrete showing, so Jimmy acquired some beautiful old field stone to face what is essentially a 3 foot high retaining wall. The materials (several dump trucks full of sand and stone) arrived over a week's period of time. Jimmy's crew of 6 completed the work in 1 day, were very polite, and cleaned up beautifully. "I never have seen a crew work so hard in this blistering heat! I hired Original Masonry for a relatively small project, tearing up my old garage floor and pouring a new one. Krenar pointed out that there was literally no garage foundation under the garage walls, and he identified areas in the cinder blocks where I was getting a good deal of water making the garage damp and smelly. After considerable thought, I decided to have Original Masonry jack up the garage, lay a proper foundation and rebuild the cinder block walls, putting in a curtain drain around the garage to take care of any future water issues. They did a magnificent job, and cleaned up beautifully. I could not be happier with their work! I plan to hire Original Masonry to build a stone wall in front of my home to level off my side yard.
