"Definitely Recommending Val, he did a super job of power washing our pool deck and retaining wall and then applying a new finish to our old concrete deck and walkways around our 18 x 36 in-ground pool. Looks brand new! He also had a railing installed going up the 3 steps to the pool deck. Workmanship was excellent and completed within a week. We will call him for future projects. He delivers what he promises and does start to finish quickly. Ellie and Al Old Tappan, NJ"

"C3 was not the lowest cost, but they were the best. Josh and his team were punctual, worked all day, needed no supervision and did high-quality work. Josh provided some options for a better appearance and was fair in extra costs coming from excavating the slope. We are very happy with the wall and steps and even yard for summer entertaining. I recommend C3 and Josh for any hardscaping work."

"We had our backyard deck built by Pro Build USA , and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. The crew was professional, respectful of our property, and incredibly skilled. They showed up on time every day and kept us updated throughout the project. The finished deck is exactly what we envisioned — sturdy, well-designed, and beautiful. The attention to detail really shows, from the smooth finishes to the perfectly installed railings. It’s now our favorite spot to relax and entertain guests."

Ceasar explained his process thoroughly, provided pictures of similar jobs, and delivered on his promise to make them look like new. He and his team were punctual, professional, and personable. To top it off, his price was very reasonable. I highly recommend A-1 Loyalty Construction to anyone in need of masonry work."

"Working with Keith and his crew from W.C.Fields Landscaping was an absolute pleasure! They relandscaped the front of our home, built a brick patio by our pool and transplanted some huge trees! It has transformed our home into a showplace and we could not be happier. Keith had great vision in how he maped out the whole project. The men working here were polite, professional and hardworking. The project was done in a very timely fashion and for a very reasonable cost. We would not hesitate for one moment having them back to do more work in the future. We would highly recommend W.C.Fields to everyone."

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
