"I spoke to Giselle at Concrete Creations and received a quote for a new semi-circle driveway for the front of my residence. In addition to the driveway, I wanted a connecting sidewalk to both of my front doors. The quote was extremely reasonable, and she was very professional. It took me 3 months to get this approved in The Woodlands due to the amount of paved surface area versus natural surface. When approved, Concrete Creations completed the work quickly. I am thrilled at the result and think they "hit it out of the park." The new driveway is awesome! Thank you!"

"I used Southern Concrete of Tomball to replace several driveway sections. An unforeseen issue occurred during the installation. Southern did an outstanding job correcting the issue and the finished driveway is perfect. Great people to work with."

"In October we hired Los Tres Gudinos to brick our porch steps, walkway, planter tops and the concrete around the pillars on our front porch and it was no easy task as they were trying to match the existing brick which is about 90 years old. Eduardo bent over backwards bringing us numerous examples of bricks and mortar so we could get just the right look. Although we told them we weren't on a time crunch, we did want it finished by Thanksgiving. Due to the abnormal amount of rain we've had lately, they were not able to get started until the week before Thanksgiving, but his crew worked diligently and professionally and finished in three days. The project turned out beautiful and we've received numerous compliments on it. Eduardo and his crew were extremely meticulous in their work and it shows. We wouldn't think twice about hiring Los Tres Gudinos for any future projects and highly recommend them."

"The crew showed up on time and went to work on the project. The weather was terrible, but they stayed on it deep into the night. The concrete turned out good, but was affected by the weather, overall a good experience."

"I hired Sullivent Services back in 2014 and 2017. 2 phases. The first was to expand the concrete patio in my backyard. That went well. I hired them back in 2017 to deck the patio and that also went very well. These guys know what they are doing and they do a good job."

FAQs for concrete work projects in Bellaire, TX

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.

Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.

Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.

An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
