"Cory was extremely professional. We asked him for an estimate to put stamped concrete on our patio. He asked if we have children who would be using the pool. When we confirmed that our grandchildren use it often, he recommended against the concrete. He said it would be slippery and kids could easily fall. We have a reasonable large patio and to put stamped concrete on it would cost around $6,000 to $8,000. Cory said we would be unhappy and advised against doing the job. He told us to repaint the cool top. I was most impressed with his forthrightness.

"Very good work done almost immediately after signing contract in 3 days removing old concrete and installing pavers (unlike different quote with up to 12 weeks' timeframe). Clean job, great price! Friendly crew."

"Having received several quotes to relay our paver walkway that was destroyed for a plumbing job and having dealt with so much delay on other numerous house projects, i very pleasantly surprised by A1 Pavers and Concrete's efficiency. The quote and actual completion of the project took a mere 3 days. Andy's quote was very fair and his communication with both myself and my husband was extrodinary and professional. Somehow, we lost almost 1/3 of our pavers - A1 was able to provide us with a near perfect match to our existing pavers. Though the cost of our project increased due to this dilemma, their price for the pallet of pavers was amazing. Honestly, if we would've met A1 Pavers and Concrete before today, we would've hired them for ALL our concrete and paver needs. Don't look any further and hire A1 Pavers and Concrete! You will not have any regrets. Our only regret is not having found them before now!"

"Did an excellent job. Problems we have been having is to find a competent company to reseal it annually. American Stamp Concrete does not have the time to do it. So if you can get a company that stands behind its product and reseals it, for a price, on annual basis, that would be better.
The folks American Concrete recommends did not do a good job."

"A Service. Fair price. Definitely will use again the next time I need concrete work. Beca Concrete responded to my quote request quickly and even managed to get my project completed several days before originally planned. On site, the work was extremely professional and the cuts very precise . They also made recommendations based on their expertise and those recommendations are the reason for my being happy with the end result. If you have concrete cutting needs (big or small) this is the team you should choose."

"Terra Pavers does amazing work. Before, my driveway was simply painted concrete and asphalt. They came in and installed the most beautiful brick pavers, and now my driveway looks a million times better. Jeanette was always available when I had a question or needed an update on the project. No matter what time it was, she always responded promptly."

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.
Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.
Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.
An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
