Lester (company owner) and his team were all professional, highly skilled craftsmen, and worked great together in getting the job successfully accomplished. LHB's Team did a great job in carefully removing the required number of pavers in the four (4) areas of the paver deck where the foundation pads were to be installed and pouring the high strength concrete foundation pads. The Team carefully replaced all of the removed pavers in their correct pattern over the newly poured foundation pads to match the rest of the paver pattern. ONce the concrete pads had fully cured, LHB assembled the pergola and anchored it to the concrete pads. "I'd had interlocking concrete pavers installed on a previous house and knew how much they improved the value of the property and were virtually maintenance-free. So it didn't take me long to decide to replace a long (about 150 feet) pea gravel-over-asphalt driveway, not only to improve the appearance of the property but to make it easier to wheel the trash barrels to the street! Phil gave me a compelling quote, and offered to include driveway lighting and sealer if I signed on the spot (I knew what my previous job cost, so his quote was accepted). He said it would be 6-8 weeks before the job could be done, and sure enough, eight weeks later the first delivery of pavers was delivered on March 31, 2017 (the job required a total of 15 pallets of pavers, either 6" x 9" or a combination of 3 sizes, to be installed in a random pattern). The three-man crew began work on April 10, 2017, and finished the job three weeks later, on April 28. There were a few scheduling hiccups (deliveries, Bobcat being required on another job, etc.), but overall José, Edgar, and Pepe and a quality job. We are ecstatic about our new driveway, and our neighbors have been highly complimentary, if not downright jealous. The 6" x 9" LED lights embedded in the border of the driveway (each fixture replaces one paver) are dramatic (they're currently programmed to be on when it is dark, but they can also be put on a timer). The job consisted of demolishing the existing concrete garage apron and the existing asphalt driveway that had been covered with pea gravel. All debris was removed. My overseeing the job was important--otherwise, some of the pavers would have been installed onto the neighbor's property. I was also available to answer questions, and to consult on the design and layout of the pavers. We chose a matte-finish natural look for the sealer; because most customers choose the "wet look," the wrong sealer was initially delivered--another reason for me to be present to oversee the project."

"We had the opportunity to work with Paul Filan as the person to come out to help understand our home situation with foundation cracks. This isnâ t a call any homeowner wants to make as itâ s $$$!!! I understood the importance of having it looked at before the issue gets worse. Before the appointment, I was given via mail valuable information on their company and processes they implement for fixing various issues. Now Iâ m informed which I appreciate before our meeting. Paul called to confirm our appointment days before hand. (It was an actual person and the person that is coming!!! Never happens any more!) Paul was on time, came prepared for all my questions and really took in all that I had to say. It felt like Paul was a friend that knew foundations/concrete instead of a sales person. Even worse a push sales person that thinks they are gods gift. I could see and feel Paul wanted to understand what we see and hear our thoughts on the issue. He addressed our questions from a higher perspective and then a deeper analysis of our home and foundation. Itâ s over 100 degrees out and Paul didnâ t rush anything. He came back and took time to explain in detail the issues, how he sees them and how they address our questions. Made us feel part of the process and helped us learn how these happen and such. Paul then presented the price in the form of options or levels of fixing. The layout was clean and straightforward. The prices seemed fair and matched the work that would be going in to the project. Each option was ok with him to be selected and described the differences. We ended up doing option three which was everything he found to be fixed. We were not pushed to that option but made the most sense for us. It was also really nice to see the pride he had for his company and his job. To me that tells he values and likes his job. Iâ m going to value and like the end result. Great customer service, knowledgeable, professional, honest, caring, able to communicate things I have no knowledge about in a way I can understand and now feel educated of the issue/process/ result."

"I felt pressured/rushed into signing a contract. I had asked for an estimate, and when the gentleman showed up, he wrote out a contract instead of an estimate. The pricing for the removal of 3 concrete and rock steps, installation of 5 brick steps and 2 handrails was ridiculously high but I wasnâ t given a chance to shop around. The contract didnâ t break down material costs, labor costs or taxes. It was a quick installation of the steps but shoddy work. The bottom step fell apart within the 1st week, causing my 83 yr old stepdad to fall. This company subcontracted for my handrails. There was a complete lack of communication between this company and the rail company. It took over 6 weeks to complete this simple job. . The railings were installed after 4 weeks. While it literally took all day to install the rails, they did turn out quite nice. Also, I was promised replacement bricks in case of chips or breaks in the future and still havenâ t received those. All things considered, I donâ t think I would recommend this company."
