Small jobs welcome

"What a great experience. Normally concrete jobs are a pain. Poured perfection made is simple. I told him what i wanted and he did everything i asked for and more. He made sure to include drainage in the bid that i didn't even think about. That and he explained every step of the process for me. Over all i could not be more happy with the job that was done. I will definitely be using Aaron and his company again for any future concrete jobs."

Customers say: True professional

"The project went very well. I entered into a contract with Eddie on October 1, 2015 with a project start date in mid-November 2015. In calling contractors back in August 2015, I found that there was high demand from people wanting to replace their lawns, and several contractors didn't bother to return calls; Eddie was one of the landscape contractors that did respond (very timely), and he quoted me a fair price. (He was also one of the contractors that did concrete work and could, therefore, do the entire project.) I first heard of Eddie's company after going on a "green garden" tour in Roseville in May 2015; he did my favorite front yard and the homeowners raved about him and his work spoke for itself, so I was pleased that I was able to work with him. He reviewed my design plan, asked good questions and shared some ideas about possible alternatives in a couple of areas, all very helpful. He gave me honest and helpful feedback on a couple of ideas I had, which were not necessarily my best ideas, but always made it clear that he would do what I wanted; in most, cases I realized that his advice was the best way to go. The project started and ended a few days late, but this was due to the weather [rain at last!]) The team did a great job and were respectful and polite. The concrete work was absolutely superb. I had a very specific plant list and did not want substitutions (I worked with a landscape designer who developed my plant list), and Eddie was accommodating and worked with me on getting some plants that were difficult to find at this time of the year. I am very pleased with the end results, my front yard looks beautiful, and I have heard more from my neighbors in the past month than the entire 15 years that I have lived here. I found Eddie to be very responsive from my first contact to the end of the project. I would recommend him to anybody wanting to have this kind of work done at their home. His team is great and so is their finished product."

"Alvaro Mantar did a very good job replacing the concrete apron in front of our garage and blending it into the existing sidewalk. About 110 square feet. Project included correcting the grade for better drainage and hauling away the debris. Job was done in one day and at a very reasonable price. I should note Alvaro was the only contractor who came on-site before submitting a bid. Other contractors just bid based on photos."

FAQs for concrete work projects in Meadow Vista, CA

Figuring out how many bars you need isn’t a one-size-fits-all equation. A structural engineer or experienced concrete contractor will look at your slab’s thickness, the loads it must carry, and local code requirements, then run the numbers for you. That quick consultation protects your budget and keeps the finished slab safe, level, and up to code.

Match the metal to the job. For light, thin pours like a sidewalk, welded wire mesh often does the trick. Thicker slabs—driveways, garage floors, foundations—usually call for traditional steel bars. If your site sees salt, humidity, or coastal spray, spend the extra cash on galvanized or stainless steel to fend off rust and avoid future repairs. When in doubt, a concrete pro can confirm the best fit for your project and budget.

Stainless steel costs more up front, but the alloy can last 75 years or longer with little to no rust. That longevity means fewer repairs, less maintenance, and peace of mind for structures exposed to salt, moisture, or de-icing chemicals. If you’re pouring near the coast or in a humid climate, the extra dollars now can save you multiple replacements down the road.

An engineer will review the slab’s thickness, span, soil conditions, and expected loads, then specify bar size, spacing, and grade. Skipping that step or guessing can leave you with cracked concrete or a blown budget. For a modest consultation fee, a local engineer or contractor can do the math and hand you a rebar schedule that meets code and keeps your project on solid footing.
