Anderson was really quick to communicate, and able to give an initial estimate via multiple photos - then followed up with a site visit to confirm. He was able to schedule the job quicker than expected due to finishing another project early, and he (and a helper) worked until nearly dark to finish. They were friendly, hardworking and respectful - leaving the job site as clean as they found it, with only minor clarifications required."

"I initially worked with Junior who came by to give us a quote on several paving projects around the property. Scheduling an initial visit was easy and he was on time. His first was missing part of the work we discussed but he came back to retake some measurements and sent updated information. The quote was competitive, neither lowest nor the highest we got and based on reviews and references we decided to hire Masonworks for the patio part of this project (remainder will take place at later date). Getting a date for the project was quite difficult. I understand it is a busy time, this was a relatively small project and other variable affect timeline but I would go weeks without an update and was never able to get a general timeline (are we talking a month or 6months out). We were not in a hurry to get this done, just wanted to have an idea of when the project would get done. We eventually got a two days notice that work would be starting. I was surprised that no one came to finalize details, such as the exact shape of the patio. We worked that out the day off. The crew was there early and hard at work all day. The whole project was completed over one day which was quite impressive. They worked well and efficiently and cleaned everything before leaving. There was a small issue with a fence post that was bent when they pulled out their truck, but Bruno, the site manager, sent someone to get that fixed for us. we are overall pleased with the results, even if communication was sometimes a bit challenging."

"I have a gorgeous patio that looks fabulous...as long as it is not raining. Nilto Goncalves, the son of the owner, came out and gave me a fair estimate and an agreeable install start time. I emphasized that the size of the yard (small) and the grade (sloping slightly toward house) and existing walkway and concrete slab would make setting the grade challenging. Based on their stellar reviews on Home Advisor, I hired them. On the day of the install, Renato Goncalves, the owner, came out on site. I emphasized that getting the grade right was going to be tricky. He stated that he was installing a patio and "didn't want me to end up with a swimming pool". We even eliminated part of the project when Renato told me that if we added that section, we would have to install a French drain. I agreed to just keep the patio and skip the addition along the existing slab. Nothing further was discussed about adding additional drainage just pitching the patio to keep water away from the house. As the guys worked, I expressed concern about where the water would end up. But they seemed to know what they were doing. I expressed this concern in an email to Renato as the work was underway, but deferred to their experience and his assurance that I would not end up with a swimming pool. Guess what? I ended up with a swimming pool. The water sheets off the patio and ends up pooling against the stairs and house. High tide is 3-4 inches which has to be broomed away to get it dry. When I called Renato about this problem, his only solution was to install a dry well. He agreed to do it "at cost" but it was still going to cost $800+ to get it installed - and I would end up with the very thing I was trying to avoid when I agreed to eliminate part of the job. The landscaper I hired separately to complete the grading and sodding told me that where Renato wanted to install the drywell would not take care of the bulk of the runoff - I would still have the pool. He showed me exactly where the water was pitching from and worked with me on swaling and pitching the yard to slough water away - work that we were not planning on doing but now had no choice. Pros: Great looking patio that has gotten compliments (in dry weather). Nice crew of hard working guys. Cons: I had to hire a landscaper to come in and completely regrade the yard and - ultimately add a drainage swale because the patio is just plain pitched wrong. Follow up calls with Renato were along the lines of "I told you you were going to have to install drainage." Um...no...or I would have had that quoted as part of the job and not had you come back and dig up the yard a second time. Also, the two other quotes I got never mentioned having to add a dry well for drainage. Bottom line: didn't want a swimming pool, ended up with a swimming pool, had to spend $$$ to try and make the swimming pool go away - and I am still not sure we have eradicated the problem. "Very good communication. Prompt and on time service. Unfortunately end product not as good as expected. If you looking to have your concrete floor finish with Hybrid Polymer think twice. Tom - owner very nice and polite guy. He and crew show up right on time. Looked very promising. So what went wrong? For the money I paid , I was expecting better finishing touch and better end results. Floor is covered but it looks like was done by good amateur not a pro. I think that work was bit rushed at the end , and that is what made it look poorly. PS. Note to owner: Tom , slow down. When you planing to do full day of work - do not rush. After sending old concrete make sure all dust is well cleaned. After you put primer, wait ( then wait again) till is dry before applying polymer. It will save you time ( no call backs - touchups ) and final product will be looking better."

"Perfect! The removal of the pre-existing concrete patio took and entire day of hard work with some heavy equipment and lots of muscle. Once the old concrete was removed and disposed of, the site was excavated to prepare the underlying base of crushed stone and sand for the pavers. The paver installation went well, but required last minute cutting into small pieces to fit some difficult spots (around the cellar hatchway). Everything looks beautiful compared to the older poured concrete. We're totally satisfied with the project and the team who did the work!"

"Our yard is on top of a hill and had a lot of soil erosion. In order to prevent that we needed a retaining wall done along the fence. We contacted multiple contractors but none came close to Ruben for value. He did an excellent job in laying concrete blocks and building a fence on top of it. The final result was exceptionally professional. We got more than or money's worth."

"Our job included demo of an old garage pad, a driveway, a thick poured concrete patio, and removal of existing grass. The whole yard was gutted and a new gravel shed pad was created, along with a beautiful new paver patio with a step up on either side at the gates. New sod was installed, increasing our green space where the driveway/garage used to run down the side of the yard. Phil cut back the tree branches so it would get enough sun as our yard is shaded in the afternoon. Phil and Janice and their team were wonderful to deal with from start to finish, working with us to get the scope of the job just right before the work began, checking in frequently through the duration and upon completion, answering the many questions we had along the way. Anything unforseen was addressed promptly and thoroughly. We are very satisfied with the work and would recommend their services!"
