Comment: I have an approximate 200 sq ft deck. About 5 years or so ago, used a product called Restore from Home Depot - consisted of a stain for the spindles/rails, and a "rubberized" material for the floor boards. Product was supposed to last 12 years, but obviously didn't last half of that and peeled. Had a crappy contractor tell me that he could sand the deck down, and then restain. Really spent no time on the job, alledged that he used a belt sander on the deck, and it wouldn't "touch" the rubberized material, and then wanted me to replace/rebuild the deck. Of course, charged me for his failure. I was thinking the material could be stripped, sanded and faulty parts only be replaced. I'm ready to go on this project.
