It was not a simple rectangle deck, but rather a more complicated three-level deck with a variety of specific detail criteria. His team did the entire project in the coldest part of the winter and faced with occasional snowstorms, but it didn't slow them down. And also (seemed to) enjoy the creative process of my questioning and refinement of the gate's design. He was comfortable using photos as inspiration and developing a design that worked for my circumstances and budget. There were some areas I pushed him beyond the normal conventions of gate design (like size of main pillars and mix of materials). He always kindly shared his concerns and the norms of past customers, but never failed to find a way forward once he understand my aims. George wasn't the lowest bid, nor was he the highest bid, but there was something about George that was immediately apparent, he is a conscientious professional. George was the only one that brought sample materials with him at the time he came to measure and talk about the project. George was also the only one who brought pictures of multiple similar projects. The pictures turned out to be very important for me. While looking at the pictures of the various projects I was able to pick out features from several of the other projects George completed, and incorporate them into my project. George took the time to explain the pros and cons to some of my questions. George is a fantastic skilled professional who takes his responsibility to the project very seriously.
