I am the owner of Stowebury Home & Grounds, a Waterbury, VT-based property care and construction company proudly serving clients within 50 miles of Waterbury. I bring hands-on craftsmanship — trained through Yestermorrow Design/Build School — to everything from handyman repairs and seasonal grounds care to custom carpentry and outbuildings. Our carpentry work spans interior and exterior projects, with a focus on sustainable materials wherever we can.\n\nWe do both structural builds and interior finish work — from custom workshops and barns built from the ground up, to interior carpentry including siding, decking, and flooring installation and repair. We also handle drywall installation and repair, from full rooms to patch-and-match jobs on existing walls, along with custom cabinetry and furniture built to fit each client's specific space and needs.

We work extremely hard for the owner and always have the owner's best interest at heart. Our long term vision is for us to become a go to general contractor with capabilities to do multiple types of projects.

We have the experience and we are committed to providing quality workmanship and superior customer service on all our applications. We at Compete Construction strive to maintain our reputation as a high quality, very service oriented company with our main focus being customer satisfaction.\n

"Always on time, hard worker, listens and finishes work as asked."

"The contractor was prompt and efficient. Couldn’t be any happier with our new deck!"

"I have been very happy with Jim's work over several years on an old house. He is always the one I call upon when I need some work to be done. He is honest and fair in everything he does. I would highly recommend him."

"They did a great job and I will recommend them to others."

"Peter Ryan did everything right. He responded promptly, and gave me his honest opinion as to what he was and was not qualified to do, And referred me to another professional for the piece of the job that he felt was not for him. Ultimately I hired him to do the installation of a large perennial bed which was completed in a very timely fashion and which came in exactly at quote. His rates are very competitive, and I was so pleased with his work and that of his associate that I have hired them to return for fall cleanup. I highly recommend Pegtons Property Maintenance service, and look forward to dealing with them again in the near future"
