"Overall it went well and I would hire them again—so far no leaks. Pros: Their quality of work is good overall, they were respectful and clean. They were able to come up with reasonable fixes for issues that we couldn't match parts on or just didn't have. Cons: The original (verbal) estimate didn't include materials, which I thought was odd. So I was disappointed when the price doubled on their written quote. Only other issue was they originally said (verbal not in writing) they would use a metal flashing over the deck ledger board and ended up just using flashing tape. I doubt it will hold up over time like a metal and tape combination would. We also never received a final receipt for services performed and I will have to follow up."

"Alan gave us a quote to paint our valuted great room ceiling on May 20.  I also got a quote from another painter on May 11.  The two prices were very close but Alan did give us a slight discount and I liked his professionalism when we met.  I called Alan a few weeks later and he was able to schedule our job within a couple of days.  On June 14th two painters arrived before 8:30 a.m. and worked steadily throughout the day stopping only for two short breaks and a short lunch.  It did take a little longer than I expected but the second painter was learning and so the work moved more slowly; not a problem though as both did very good work and I am totally satisified with the job.  Our ceiling had never been painted in the 11 years we have lived here so the white paint Alan recommended really looks great!  The painters also took time to clean our ceiling fan and left us a little touch-up paint which I appreciated.  Affordable Painting did a good job for us and I would use them again. "
