Customers say: Super punctual

"I bid this job out and found that many landscapers could not do all three components;  1)pond and waterfall, 2) stone patio and 3) large landscape.  The others wanted to hire subcontractors for various components of the work resulting in higher bids or cost uncertainties. Rick was the only landscaper in the bidding process able to provide all the services at a cost within budget.  I knew we made the right decision after the pond and stonework.  His crew was professional and courteous.  Rick was honest and always indicated where we were at in our budget.  He didn't hesitate giving ideas on saving cost or allocating them to the proper area.  Also, he had crews that were competent with each aspect of the construction and was never shorthanded.  This is always our concern when a contractor takes work from us. But it was not an issue with Page.  He is very experienced with horticulture and planting.  He provided many fantastic ideas on design, color etc.  Would recommend Rick in a heartbeat!"

"Order arrived quickly - all in good condition. Have been using them for quite a while now. I love that the pieces lock together magnetically - so no sliding around. You can choose your colors: top and bottom. You do the measuring - they have instructions on how to do that - and it is very simple. Their order department was very accommodating when I called. Would definitely order from them."

"

The general Contractor was very firm but the fellows that did the actual painting were pleasant and would not quit until I was satisified with their work.  Painters came back on their own time and

repainted a very difficult section of the house (3rd story loft) even though it technically had been painted with 2 coats of paint.  Point - the painters would not leave until I was satisified.  Rare these days.

"We moved into a new home with a deck that needed to be re-stained and sealed.  I researched several companies and chose Renew Crew of Pittsburgh North because I was intrigued by their unique process.  Dave came out to look at our deck and to explain what his crew would do.  He made a good impression and his proposal was competitive, so we contracted with Renew Crew.  Rich & Sean came out three weeks later to service our deck.  They were punctual, professional, courteous and respectful of our property--and they did a nice job.  The previous owners had used a semi-transparent stain on our deck but had use an opaque stain on the uprights.  Rich showed me samples of each stain they would be applying as the semi-transparent and the opaque would not match exactly.  I actually chose different colors for the deck and uprights, which made it necessary for Rich to come out a second time.  I appreciate his showing me the color difference between the two stains because it change what could have been a disappointment into a good outcome.  I appreciated his commitment to making it right for me.  I am happy with my deck and will call Renew Crew when it is time to stain my deck again.

"

Dan did an outstanding job.  His crews are very courteous, professional and punctual.  They did the job faster than expected and kept in touch with me every step of the way to be sure he was completing the job to our specifications.  We weren't exactly sure of the design of the patio when we started but Dan helped us with suggestions and ideas.  It was a large job with many truckloads of topsoil needed to even out the yard and the patio also required some intricate leveling since it wrapped around the house.  Dan went over and above the job requirements by also preparing a space for a hot tub that we ordered.

The job is complete and looks better than we ever anticipated!  He turned our ugly back yard into a beautiful, relaxing place.  We  highly recommend him!

"My house needed complete hardscaping done front and rear. Last Summer I hired another contractor to do the work. That experience was horrible. Less than a nine months after installation, some of his work(big set of stairs and large retaining wall)began to fail. I had a few contractors over, and most wouldn't touch this disaster. Enter Omnipro. Tony was great to work with and offered a plan to revise the previous work. His plan made sense both from a structural and design standpoint. He was also the only contractor to have a good solution for dealing with a large tree in front of our house. Tony was professional and presented a clear contract that included a detailed plan how the work was to be done(ALWAYS INSIST ON A DETAILED CONTRACT FOR ALL WORK, INCLUDING PLANS AND WARRANTY). When his crew showed up, the were very professional and did their best to get the work done quickly and with minimal disturbance to my neighbors. They had professional equipment(mechanical diggers and backhoes)that they were able to get into my small driveway and raised backyard. It was a lot of work, so the project took a few weeks, but the completed work looks great. Hiring a contractor to install engineered block systems(like Versa-Lok)is tough because anyone can assemble these blocks to make a wall. The basics of installation are not difficult. What you want for more than basic projects, though, is someone with experience and knowledge who can design a clean installation that will look great and provide safe, long lasting walls. Poorly designed and built walls can cause you serious problems(e.g. patios need to push water away from your house)and can be extremely dangerous. I looked at a lot of installers before hiring the first company and still failed. Fortunately, Omnipro was there to save me, but I still lost a lot of money. Do yourself a favor and just hire Omnipro at the beginning of your project, even if you have to wait. I wish I had. A few tips for hiring Versa-Lok installers: 1. Ask about crew size and equipment. A huge crew with no large equipment could be a warning sign. 2. Read about Versa-Lok installation(manuals are on the Versa-Lok homepage)then ask basic questions. If they can't correctly answer the questions, move on. You do not want people who improvise too much with engineered block systems. For example, many walls above a certain height require a stabilizing grid to be built into the wall. If your potential contractor doesn't know this, or says you don't need this, you should definitely get more opinions. 3. Insist on a detailed contract, not something like "will build XXX ft of wall". How will they build the wall, what will they backfill with, what is the warranty, etc. If the contract doesn't look professional(NOT a single page printout)then move on. Talk with them about local codes, insist they have some knowledge of this and put it in the contract."

FAQs for design and decorating projects in Champion, PA

Start by defining your goals and budget. Collect photos of rooms you love, jot down must-have features, and list what isn’t working in your current space. Share these details—and your target budget—during the first meeting. The clearer you are, the quicker a designer can translate your vision into a workable plan and keep costs in check.

Yes, working with an interior designer can help you save money. Designers prevent costly missteps, secure trade discounts on furniture and finishes, and coordinate the project so you don’t pay twice for the same work. Their upfront fee often pays for itself in avoided change orders, tighter timelines, and materials purchased at below-retail pricing.

A full interior design project wraps up in two to three months, on average, while a decorating job takes four to eight weeks. Timelines stretch if you add structural changes, custom millwork, or specialty materials, and unexpected shipping or permit delays can tack on extra days. Talk with your designer about project milestones and build in a little wiggle room.

Interview at least three pros whose portfolios match your style. Review their credentials and ask for references. During a face-to-face or virtual meeting, discuss your goals, budget, and timeline, and make sure their communication style and fee structure feel comfortable. The right designer combines technical know-how with a creative approach that clicks with you.
