"Joe Kelley is a wonderful designer. He also listened to my input. The crew were hard-working and polite. They cleaned up each day before they left. Joeâ s son, Ethan, was the project manager. He stayed in close touch with me and responded to my questions immediately. Joe came by when the project was done to make certain I was familiar with the watering schedule. The price was VERY fair and nothing was added from the estimate. I absolutely LOVE the results! Neighbors slow as they drive by to admire the changes. I would not hesitate to recommend this company!"

"They were great. 4 men worked for 3 days. End project better than I could have imagined. Came when stated. Worked hard. Cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommend."

"After two years in our new house, we got tired of dragging trash cans, recycle bins, and pool equipment through our gravel side yard, so we decided to install a paver pathway. Vince and his team at Scape Concepts had done a beautiful job installing a travertine patio at our old house, so we called him. As before, Vince did a great job helping us to plan the project. He assisted us with design, material selection, and project planning. His regular communication, status updates, and advice on key project decisions made the process go smoothly. The project started as scheduled, and Vince?s team delivered a high-quality quality installation and finished the job in only two days."

Start by defining your goals and budget. Collect photos of rooms you love, jot down must-have features, and list what isn’t working in your current space. Share these details—and your target budget—during the first meeting. The clearer you are, the quicker a designer can translate your vision into a workable plan and keep costs in check.
Yes, working with an interior designer can help you save money. Designers prevent costly missteps, secure trade discounts on furniture and finishes, and coordinate the project so you don’t pay twice for the same work. Their upfront fee often pays for itself in avoided change orders, tighter timelines, and materials purchased at below-retail pricing.
A full interior design project wraps up in two to three months, on average, while a decorating job takes four to eight weeks. Timelines stretch if you add structural changes, custom millwork, or specialty materials, and unexpected shipping or permit delays can tack on extra days. Talk with your designer about project milestones and build in a little wiggle room.
Interview at least three pros whose portfolios match your style. Review their credentials and ask for references. During a face-to-face or virtual meeting, discuss your goals, budget, and timeline, and make sure their communication style and fee structure feel comfortable. The right designer combines technical know-how with a creative approach that clicks with you.
