"...first and foremost, mr gragg is an exceptional person...this was my first time hiring a professional contractor and boy did i hit the jackpot!...i needed a main floor half bath saved (yes, SAVED) in a home i recently purchased...hidden behind the main wall where toilet sat was an aging, damaged sewer line from upstairs...in the process of having that replaced, i became aware of just how much damage had occurred...i had a floor rotted to the point the toilet had sank...i had rotted studs...my walls were original sheetrock with plaster covering it and wire mesh in every corner and they were crumbling from the leak...oh, and the floor joists sloped a half inch...the list goes on and on...i tell you all of this so you can visualize what a daunting task lay ahead!...i don't need to tell you everything mr gragg accomplished to save my half bath, but i will tell you this, i got some new joists, some raised joists (not shimmed for the new floor, new studs with new head and bottom boards, new shored (i think that is the correct word) up edges for new floor, reinforced toilet area, the main wall had all the sheetrock removed and drywall installed, two layers of flooring , then a new waterproof locking vinyl floor and my toilet put back in place...now on to mr gragg's knowledge and skill level: HE KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK!!...need i say more...yes i do, for he is darn near a perfectionist in my book and it shows in the quality of work he puts forth...he gave me options and was straight forward on his recommendations without compromising the intent of the project...on to the cost of this dying bathroom: while i have no prior knowledge of what one considers a "fair" price, i do know this, i got my money's worth!...let's be realistic, we can always get numerous free estimates and base our decision on that or we can accept the fact that we hire a contractor for a reason, we need their expertise and we simply cannot handle the job ourselves...i honestly, truly honestly, believe mr gragg gave me more than what i was expecting at better than expected price...i will never, ever use any other contractor...EVER!!!...finally, you do not want to know how many times i have gone into that bathroom, repeatedly jumped up and down on the floor , just to watch the toilet NOT move"

"The contractor came , gave the estimate and started the work a week later. They started the demolition of the exsisting rooms which was very messy because they both had blown insulation in the ceilings. All debri was quickly removed from the site and we where amazed that they had the shell up for the addition within in the first week and a half. Construction of the two rooms went smoothly even though we changed our minds on many aspects on what should be done as the project went on. One main thing was to have a cathedral ceiling in both rooms and a sky light in the bathroom. Every thing we changed was met with " yes we can do that , no problem" and many extras where not even charged for. The wait for the drywall seemed to take long to my wife but that was because they did three layers of drywall mud (instead of 2) which had to dry a day in between each application. The contractor even came by himself on weekends to take care of loose ends to keep the job on schedule. The whole job took five weeks. We are very happy with the work that was done and the way he executed it. He had done a great job on a laundry room for us the previous year and that is why we had him back. We have also refered him to our friends."

"Chuck returned my call within 2-3 days and came over and we discussed what needed to be done. He returned with an estimate within a day or two. We arranged for a start date and he and his team were on site at the agreed upon day and time. They pressure washed all the woodwork, ceiling and siding on the porch; they scraped, caulked and primed. There was a lot of scraping, especially the wood railings. A lot of attention was paid to the prep. Everything was topped off with a couple of coats of beautiful paint. They even suggested a wonderful contrasting color for the brickwork which turned out very nice. In addition, they cleaned and painted the concrete steps as well as filled in some gaps with concrete between the steps and the foundation. I was very please with how they cleaned up everything when they were done too. The job was done in 3 days."
