"After checking the thermostat, air handler, and the compressor it was determined that the system had 'blown out' the refrigerant. Not to worry, he located where the leak was - it was at the very bottom of the compressor unit surrounded by the coils. He cut power, removed the fan motor, and all but crawled-in to clean and repair the hole found in the copper line; he evacuated the system after a thorough purge and refilled the refrigerant when done.
