"We had a new pellet stove installed.  I was super impressed with everything from the consultation to the finished product.  Let me just say that I researched getting a pellet stove off and on for over 2 years.  I got ranges in price between $1900.00 and $5500.00. Finally, I went to Angie's list for reviews.  They did not steer me wrong.  I met with the owner Matt for a consultation.  He knew his stuff and was very pleasant to work with. 90 days same as cash and my pellet stove was installed.  I love it.  It is beautiful.  I had just painted my brick hearth white and they didn't even make any marks during installation.  I highly recommend this company.

"First we had an inspection and detailed report on what was needed. The configurations and materials were too old and worn and/or not up to modern specifications. There was definitely a safety hazard with regard to fire and to carbon monoxide. And much loss of heat up the chimney, rather than into the room. We already knew much of this to be true, and the inspector provided detailed photographs and measurements. The job took 2 men a week. They worked hard and continuously and were very considerate and pleasant - high degree of professionalism. The job is just finished, so cannot comment yet on how the fires will be."

"Great job. Our fireplace was falling away from the house due to water leaks and rotted wood. We hired Chimney.com to remove the old insert, rebuild the support, remove the brick surrounding the fireplace, install a new insert, and replace drywall. Long story short, they came, they saw, they fixed. The work was done on schedule, the team was thoughtful and cleaned and vacuumed the work area each day before leaving. We are very happy with the end result and would definitely hire again."

"We hired Sixpenny because we needed an urgent cleaning done on our newly purchased house after burning one fire and they said they could be at our house within 2 days, but only provided a 4 hour time window (12pm-4pm), requiring me to take the day off of work and stay home. The day comes with gusty winds which slowed down all of their appointments that day. This would not have been a major problem in itself if the company communicated that to me proactively, but by 3pm I called to confirm we were still on the list to be cleaned. By 4pm I called and was informed that the cleaner was on his way, at 4:30 I called again was told he was still on his way but no known estimated arrival time. Finally arrived shortly after 5pm, rushed through the cleaning as quick as he could, wasn't really able to answer any questions about how to reduce the fireplace smell in the house, from the concrete slab or from the hardwood floors and left in less than an hour. I understand he had a long day and was slowed by the weather, but the lack of proactive communication to keep us in the loop, as well as the limited knowledge either possessed or shared, is why I rated this company lower."
