"Sammy did a fantastic job installing our fireplace! He communicated well, he provided a break down estimate and invoices as we requested. He went the extra mile to make sure we liked the brick/stone on the surround. Highly recommend him for all your fireplace needs!"

"Fast and efficient. Made sure our home was safe and ready for the weather. Rusty took his time to make sure we understood what work he was doing and why he was doing it. His craftsmanship was clean and matched our home. We did not want to lose the original design of the house with repairs and his work is invisible; incredible job. Would recommend to any family or friend."

"David came out several times to discuss our roof and how he would do things. Our biggest concern was getting the turret done correctly. Not and easy task to take the old wood shake shingles off and put a new shingle roof on it due to the curvature and they would have to work from a lift. He answered all of our questions and concerns. David was the only contractor that I could find who had experience with round turrets. Other contractors came out and looked at the roof and said it looked okay....really? I don't think they waned to work on a roof like this. The insurance company thought it needed to be replaced.
David was here when the insurance adjustor was here to inspect roof. He worked very well with the insurance company. He had to talk to them several times about extra costs involved with this type of steep roof and turret.
He worked with us to find a shingle that would go with the character of our home. We decided to do the whole roof in the same shingle (not go back with a wood shake on the turret).
A large bucket lift was used to lift supplies up to the guys and they had to hang from this to do most of the turret work.
We did ask David to have the turret redone. When he came by to look at it, he agreed that it didn't look right. The crew had done the snap lines incorrectly.
The copper seams were fixed and look great.
Our new gutters w/gutter guards look great with the trim color of our home and the new shingles.
His crew cleaned up the area everyday and they were very polite.
David was very easy to work with and quick to respond to calls/emails.
We are extremely pleased with our new roof on the house, turret and the repair to the copper seams.

"Brad was great to work with. Very friendly and confident in his work. The recent cold and wet weather caused a few delays and issues, but when the weather got nicer, they were back on the job and fixed the few minor issues caused by the weather. The limestone foundation was had a lot of cracks and crevices, but was covered very well. Only found a few spots that were quickly fixed where the shadows and cracks hid whether it was painted thoroughly or not. The job site was kept straightened and the crew was courteous and professional. I'm sure I'll have paint work in the future and I know who I will be calling. Highly recommend."
Start with a professional inspection. If damage is limited to a few bricks or the crown, a targeted repair helps keep costs and disruption to a minimum. Severe leaning, widespread mortar failure, or major fire damage usually signals it’s time for a complete teardown and rebuild. Your contractor will outline both price tags, but remember that rebuilding a failing stack is often cheaper than repeated patch jobs and the water leaks or fire hazards they allow.
Cracks provide water with an easy path into the masonry, weakening the bricks and mortar and increasing the risk of collapse or fire. Gaps can also let hot gases and sparks escape into attic spaces. Call a chimney pro as soon as you see cracking so they can seal small joints or recommend a larger rebuild before minor damage turns into a costly emergency.
Smoke rolling back into the room often indicates a blocked flue, a broken damper, or a drafting issue. Have a sweep inspect the damper, flue liner, and any obstructions right away. Most fixes involve clearing debris, repairing the liner, or adjusting the damper so the fireplace pulls air correctly. Don’t light another fire until a professional pinpoints the cause and confirms your system is venting safely.
Most policies cover chimney repairs caused by a sudden, covered event, such as lightning, a fallen tree, or a house fire. They won’t cover damage that stems from neglected maintenance or everyday wear. Review your policy or contact your agent before scheduling work to determine what documentation your insurer requires and what costs you will be responsible for.
Component life spans vary. Clay tile or cast-in-place liners last close to 50 years, while stainless-steel liners last 15 to 20 years. Mortar requires attention every 25 to 30 years, while crowns last 50 to 75 years. Use these numbers as a maintenance roadmap: schedule regular inspections, budget for future upgrades, and replace parts before age-related cracks develop into more significant problems.
