Rob (the owner) arrived literally within a few hours of me calling him. Unlike the other companies, he was calm and confident about taking the job on. He wasn't hesitant about fixing someone else's mess. Rob was also very passionate about educating us on the details of our project, and gave us the knowledge and tools we needed to protect us from a few fraudulent "contractors". Within a few days, he helped us get on track with permits and engineered drawings, guiding us every step of the way. As the owner/operator on site, he was involved with every step of the process. Decisions made quickly to keep things moving along. They worked 7 days a week until the job was done."

"We had some water coming into our basement on rainy days. We attempted to fix the issue ourselves and quickly realized we were in over our heads. At this point we were tired of our stuff getting damaged, and cleaning up the watery mess. We called some contractors and received various quotes. We then turned to Angie's list in hopes of finding someone qualified at a much more reasonable price. We found Mr. Black Contracting and setup a time for him to check out our basement. He showed up on time, was very knowledgeable and was able to spot the problem even before we pointed it out to him. This surprised us as no other contractor was able to do that. We accepted his proposal and the work was completed quickly, efficiently and at a fair price. We work from home and are frequently on conference calls, so we were a bit worried about the repair noise being overwhelming. To our surprise the noise was kept to a minimum, and we were able to work with no interruptions. He was very clean and gave us many different options to stop the water from coming in. I will use them in the future and recommend them to anyone that needs repairs done."

"TMC Construction were life savers. My basement had flooded and the mess was over whelming. I had used them once before to renovate my porch. I explained to the owner how important it was for them to come asap and they came the next day. They not only cleaned out all the garbage, they stuck around and helped me clean up. "Dave figured out the best solution.  He and his worker dug the trenches and covered the pipes with the patches of grass after they installed the pipes, pump, & pop-up drain.  It was a very professional job and works great so far.  I have not seen the yard flooded since he did this work.  He kept in touch with me by phone and email since I was not there the whole time as it is my summer home. 
This is the third time I had Dave back to do work.  I had major damage from Hurricane Sandy and on 4/13/13 he also did work for me.  He worked in my crawl space.  He replaced insulation, cleaned joists with an antimicrobial agent and then painted them with antimold resistant paint, replaced a vapor barrier, installed a sump pump, repaired foundation vents, and filled cracks in my foundation.  All for a resonable price!  Dave is honest, fair and very professional.  He always returns my calls in a timely manner.  I will call on him again for future work.
