"Found Elite Construction at the Spokane Home & Garden show. I just had Elite Construction replace a tub/shower in my downstairs apartment and replace the shower in my ensuite bathroom. I am VERY happy with the work they did and the finished products! Elite showed up on-time, as scheduled, on 2 separate visits to complete both of the bathrooms…one each day and stayed on the project for the entire day until it was done. Very professional service and what awesome work they did! After they finished both bathrooms, the owner, Sergey, and his son, Roman, both made a point to ask us to contact them if we found anything at all that was not done to our satisfaction and they will take care of it. However, both showers were done exactly as we requested. In the past, I have had many negative experiences with companies that have done work at my home, so I am always skeptical when trying a company that I have never used before. But Elite exceeded all of my expectations in every way. It is hard to find a company that you feel that you can trust…but I have found one in Elite Construction. I’m already planning to have them back in a few months to perform more excellent work. As you can imagine, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Elite Construction. This company is a keeper!"

"The install went well. The metal awning looks great and was made to fit the back of the garage perfectly to provide a covered parking spot for our truck."

"Joe Thom with Oakmont Carpentry provided high quality workmanship and was extremely reliable, trustworthy, and consistently communicated with us throughout the entire project. We had to put a new deck on our home with railing as well as new soffits, fascia and siding on the front of our home. We had a contractor steal our money and not complete the work paid for, and Joe worked with us to finish the work within the budget we had left to do it. He was amazing and I would highly reommend him for any carpentry work!"

Small jobs welcome
"My husband and I are so happy with the work performed by Bugle Construction. Joe was so good about returning calls, emails, and texts and answered our many questions right away. Our project was multi-layered and complicated, but Joe and his crew were great at problem solving and coming up with good solutions to various design challenges and communicating with us about different options. Joe and his crew added two decks to our main house and built another deck on our guesthouse, which required a window to be relocated and a sliding glass door to be installed. They worked through all types of weather, sometimes surrounded by wild turkeys and deer, and were so nice. We would definitely recommend Bugle Construction to anyone who is looking for great quality and excellent customer service."

"This was the best experience with a contractor I have ever had. Andrew made the process run very smoothly and stress free."
Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.
Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.
A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.
Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.
A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.
Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.
If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
