"I called them at 11:30 and was told Chris would be there between 12 and 2. He showed up by 1:00 and got right to work. He replaced the hinges, tightened all the screws and replaced the missing ones, adjusted the door and lubed all the moving parts. He was done quickly and left no mess. This was my first time using them and I will use them again if needed."

"Did a great job repairing the garage sensors, and also changed out the rollers. Everything works great, and am very happy to have a fully functional garage door again."

"Because I accidentally ran into my garage door you couldn't actually fix it but, he tried and when it didn't hold he came back the next day and he made it so that I could pull it up and down manually until I can buy a new door. He came about 90 minutes after we talked. He was courteaus. I am going to hire him to install the new door when I'm able to buy one"

FAQs for garage and garage door service projects in Grand Terrace, CA

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.

Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.

A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.

Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.

A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.

Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.

If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
