"The technicians are very knowledgeable and professional. They were able to answer any questions I asked. Getting the door itâ s was a pleasant experience. Again I have found the sales representative to be knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend this company for replacing your door or repairing your doors. They complete their jobs in a timely manner and do not leave a mess to be cleaned up. Again Very Professional."

"I was talking to josh about replacement due to all of the issues of my garage door not closing properly and thought thats all I could do since 3 other companies were unsuccessful. He came out next day spoke to me, inspected, and got to the problem. Was fixed within same day! He was beyond easy to work with, and affordable compared to most! He was awesome to work with! If you need anything garage door wise… Josh is the man for the job! Thank you again for everything. I also, had him instal a garage code box for my children and he was quick and once again didnt break my pocket! Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

"Brandon was on time clean, professional, well spoken. He diagnosed the problem quickly and accurately, repairs were accomplished quickly. As this was my garage I had "stuff" in his way (which I knew would be a problem), he informed me politely and professionally that the items would need to be moved, he even helped."

"The men were very polite and did things not related to the construction of the deck. They cut down the weeds under and around the previous deck and cleared out leaves and debris from under the deck. That was very nice."

FAQs for garage and garage door service projects in Nortonville, KY

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.

Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.

A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.

Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.

A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.

Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.

If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
