"We were recommended Tri-City garage doors by a friend who were very happy with their instillation. Brian removed our old garage door openers and reinstalled new ones in a short period of time. He then explained to me how to program and operate the openers and made sure that I fully understood the operation. We are very happy with the new openers and would recommend Tri-City to anyone!"

"Erin and Andrew were great to work with. They installed my new garage door in about 5 hours. Erin was very informative about how to care for my new door; what preventive maintenances should be done to keep it working like new for a long time. I would recommend these 2 for any door install. They were friendly, courteous, and cleaned up before they left. Top marks from me"

"Steve & Rick did a great job on our garage floor. We wanted to do it ourselves but couldn't get the oil and dirt stains out. So after searching the internet we found Steve's company. He came out and gave us an estimate which was more than we had planned to spend, but we weren't able to do it ourselves. He was very informative and explained the entire process. After some thought we decided to bite the bullet and go with Floor Guard. Steve invited us to stop by his home and look how his garage turned out with the flooring and cabinets. It was beautiful. Steve gave us an estimate as to when he would be able to come out and complete the job. About a week before he contacted us, and set up the date and time they would be here as well as emailing us with a preparation list for getting the garage ready for their arrival. They were on time and Rick completed the 1st process on Wednesday and Steve came on Thursday to finish things up. Without a doubt it look great. Family and friends that have seen it love how it looks. I am encouraged that they offer a 20 year guarantee for the floor and hope I wouldn?t need to use it. The only regret I have is the I didn't seal off the door from the house to the garage with a plastic sheet. That caused a little more clean up on our part than it would have had we put the plastic up.

"Ryan went over and above to make sure the springs would hold up our antique wood garage door a year ago. He made several trips to our home to check it out and do the install. He made sure it was done right. Thank you Ryan. I recommend him to all my friends."

"Experiencing a broken garage door is not a great thing but dealing with Old Forge Garage Door Services was a GREAT experience. I can not say enough good things about them. The technician was extremely nice, fixed the problem right away. Checked both sides of Door (problem was on one side) oiled both sides. Gave all options and prices. I know it is a garage but, extremely clean even wiping inside of Door. I can't say enough good things about Old Forge. I highly recommend them. In the future they will be my first call for HELP."

"I couldn’t be happier with the walk in closet Fabiano built for me. The craftsmanship is top-notch, every shelf and drawer is perfectly installed, and the finish looks high-end. They really maximized the space, making it look and feel amazing. Communication was excellent throughout the project, and everything was completed on time and within budget. The team was professional, attentive, and clearly cares about delivering quality work. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for custom closet solutions, they truly exceeded my expectations."

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.
Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.
A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.
Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.
A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.
Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.
If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
