"I have used Precision Door service twice now. The first time, they did some motor work on one of my openers. They also did maintenance and lubrication on the door rollers and other moving parts. Excellent results at a reasonable price. The second time was for a different garage door, and that opener required replacement. What I really liked about their service was that the Technicians sent were knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient in doing not only the replacement, but all the fine tuning, maintenance and lubrication. They also explained the what, how and why of all processes involved. That was very helpful in that now I can see and hear things and understand what is happening with these systems. They are on my first call list!"

"It's rare these days to find excellent customer service. But it's the norm at Garage Doors, Parts & More. Eric Acuna and his crew exceeded my expectations while installing a new garage door. This wasn't just a crew. This was a team and they were facing what I would consider a tough canvas to work with. The garage was built in 1970. It had a garage door sometime in the 90's but it broke apart and was never replaced. The garage was full of leaves, wasp nests and spider webs galore! Eric and his team, Dustin Waite and Noah Greer, removed all the debris and got started. When they finished the job I went outside to check it out. The new garage door looks beautiful! My garage looked cleaned up, too! This team delivered a quality product, were professionals in every aspect and it was clear that their main concern was that I was pleased with the job. I was pleased, indeed! Finally, a gold star goes to Dustin who single handedly removed the cobwebs that just didn't want to let go. I highly recommend Garage Doors, Parts & More. Oh, and the cost was surprisingly lower than expected. Thank you Eric, Dustin and Noah for a job well done!"

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.
Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.
A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.
Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.
A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.
Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.
If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
