"Not a fan of writing reviews however this company deserves one. Called and got service quickly. Had Maintenace on three garage doors, lubed the tracks, replaced the "seal" on the bottom of one door and the rest of the boring stuff. Then surprised him by bringing him to another house where the entire garage door opener was laying on the floor. Didn't seem like a surprise to him as I quickly left him alone to deal with the mess, To my surprise the opener was back up and operating quickly and hasn't crashed down on the floor since then, Pleased with the service from everyone I delt with. The "service tech" was outstanding and even the charge for the service seemed fair."

"It's true: working with Hal is not like working with other contractors. With Hal, you are developing a relationship, not fulfilling the terms of a contract. For some that might be more than they want out of a contractor. For me, it was exactly what I needed. Example: I was talking with Hal about another matter when we both happened to notice some rotting boards on our deck. I thought it was unsightly, but nothing serious. Hal persuaded me that, without immediate attention, the rot would spread to the joists underneath, and what was a small problem now would be a big problem later. He replaced the deck boards on time and for the price he quoted. I can now rest assured I won't be plunging through the deck this summer. Along the way, Hal fixed some off-kilter gates in our yard, and also consulted with me about some stains on our stucco (thus managing to solve a problem that had stumped several other contractors). He's always on the end of the line when I have a home repair question. He's been there for me for some five years now. There's plenty of quality workers out there, but not many who will listen as well, contribute as much, and return as often as Hal Morris."

"David is an absolute professional and all around terrific person. He transformed-my very OLD deck. We worked with a quality- inclusive contract which he devised. He was graciously agreeable to go forward with the project even as his scheduled filled with other responsibilities. David was timely - showed when he said he would and made contact to tell me when he would arrive. Well in advance he clearly communicated specific days he would not be on the job. The project was completed well ahead of a final date we had agreed on. Using the original deck frame David CREATED a technically (jacking it up and adding necessary extra foothings) -and aesthetically ( the deck features are wonderful) expert platform and space that is absolutely beautiful. He was easily agreeable to add work/ replacing garage door framing. I would absolutely recommend hiring David."

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
