"Quickly resolved my issue where my garage door wouldn’t open easily due to a wheel off its bracket. They even went further beyond with replacing a wire that needed immediate attention. Thank you so much!"

"Noah was very knowledgeable and professional. He answered all my questions. One thing in particular that stood out is that once he finished, he asked me if the garage door was at a height that I was comfortable with. He could have told me that the repair was finished and left, but he followed up to make sure I was satisfied with everything. I would highly recommend."

"In my opinion, Jay and Robert were two of the most professional home renovators there are. From November until March, they were at my home working diligently to get the job done. I had both bathrooms renovated, the kitchen, my bedroom, and they built a shed in the backyard. They always listened to ideas and made each one of them come to fruition. I can't explain enough how trustworthy they are. I would leave them in my home with my 80-year-old mother while I went to work every morning. The work that they did is impeccable, and they took pride in assuring that everything was done correctly, and to my satisfaction. They also go above and beyond the job that they are hired for, and for that, I can't thank them enough. I know that with all of the good things I have to say about them, you would think that I would have at least one picture to show the work that they do, but you will see it when you hire them for your home renovation needs."

"I finally found someone who respects their customers, stands behind their work and doesn't leave you hanging with a garage door wide open...... even if the temperature has dipped under the 30's. Too bad he's not a contractor. I'm going to butcher his name but, Lemb, came out, adjusted two garage doors and it was somewhere around freezing that morning. When further adjustment was required, Mr. Lemb, came back out and fine tuned my doors, as one door was being difficult. What stood out for me is, I called him and he wanted to come out in a potential ice storm; I of course, refused to allow it. Further, He came out after the thaw but, still freezing and didn't require that I get out in the cold. Ladies and gentlemen, I built homes for decades; this is the character type, you want working for you. JH"

Enclosing a carport essentially turns it into a garage. You’ll start by framing and finishing exterior walls, then add a garage door (averaging $1,200), windows, and wiring for lights or outlets.
Plan for site prep and, if needed, a thicker slab to handle the added weight. Once the walls are up, insulation, drywall, and exterior siding create a secure, weather-tight space that protects vehicles and gear year-round.
A well-built carport may not add a huge dollar figure to an appraisal, but it can boost buyer appeal. Covered parking protects vehicles and lawn equipment, sharpens curb appeal, and fills what might otherwise be an empty driveway space. If the carport matches your home’s style and stays in good repair, it can make the property more attractive and competitive when you decide to sell.
Most cities and counties require a building permit for a new carport. Fees range from $60 to $800, depending on local codes and the size of the structure. Getting the permit upfront ensures the carport meets zoning rules and HOA guidelines, protecting you from fines or expensive retrofits later. Check with your building department—or ask your contractor—before ordering materials or scheduling installation.
A poured concrete slab is the gold standard for carport foundations. Concrete delivers superior load-bearing strength, keeps posts level, and resists shifting in freeze-thaw conditions. While gravel, dirt, or permeable pavers cost less upfront, they can’t match concrete’s long-term stability, especially if you might convert the carport into a garage later. Investing in a slab now can save money and hassle down the road.
Pre-made kits start at $300 and bundle all the required parts—sometimes installation, too—making them the most budget-friendly option. Custom carports cost more ($12 to $40 per square foot plus labor) but let you match the design, size, and finishes to your home.
If price and quick setup top your list, go with a kit. If you have a tricky layout or want a seamless aesthetic, investing in a custom build is worth the premium.
