We contracted with Jim to install the CoolVu solar film and the results have been wonderful. Jim did his work quietly and efficiently. The film gave a classic look to our windows and the material has effectively lowered the temperature of the room and blocks the suns glare from interfering with the use of our family room in the middle of the afternoon when the sun is breaking through the windows, causing heat and glare. "We heard from a mutual friend that Mike was looking to start up his window restoration & repair business again. They had a good experience with him a few years back. We recently purchased an older home which is not in a historic area, but which by age is "historic". We are looking to make improvements on the exterior before starting on the interior. So we are speaking to various contractors about window, siding and roofing. We want to maintain the character of the house. We have looked at vinyl windows, which would in many ways be a good choice, but they are just not the same as the windows we have, which are original. "Delivery was delayed due to credit inquiry. After the concern was raised, shipment was rushed to us. Self installation didn't go as easy. Issue was resolved over the phone. The glass break sensor was a bit sensitive to loud noise such as cabinet door closing and door sensor repeatedly falls off and had to be reattached. Notification of alarm activation was fast and made to the right contact numbers. This prevented false alarm calls to the police."

"They were actually fine. Two days ago, I opened my front door to go out to get the mail and when I opened the door, glass shattered on top of the screen door. It was like a suction. It was like it sucked it in and it broke into a million different pieces. I didn't know what to do so I just called Faerber's Bee Window and they had a guy here within an hour, swept up the glass, vacuumed inside the house, and took the frame out and said that they would order me a new one and come back and install it at no charge. He said it looked like something had hit it, possibly a bird, and the suction on the front door when I went to open it up was what made the glass just go over the place. They were very good. They were extremely personable and they did a great job. I thought the fact that I called them at 4 o'clock in the afternoon and they had somebody here in an hour to clean it up and order me a new one was amazing. They were very good. I was talking to some people and I thought they were a little high, but they did a good job."
