"The owner, Mike Patterson was very professional and personable. Arrived on time and gave me a quote that was very reasonable. I was planning on having his company complete the work but due to unforeseen circumstances, we decided to wait. Once we are ready, we will be calling him back."

"Mr. Handyman showed up almost on time and did a fine job. Patrick was pleasant and went right to work replacing a wall switch in my master bath. But Mr. Handyman is not a suitable choice for small jobs. Although it only took about 15 minutes to replace the wall switch, the minimum charge was $168. I called Mr. Handyman when I could not find my tools. My sister, who took care of me after my stroke, re-organized my home. As a result, I can?t find anything. The job had to be done, and since I decided it would not be a good idea for me to do it due to lingering tremors in my hands and legs, I called Mr. Handyman to do it quickly, despite the price. Even though this is a positive review, it may be an embarrassment when you see the price charged for replacing a switch which I supplied. They are a competent company compared to most South Carolina contractors but outrageously overpriced for a simple job. The name Mr. Handyman is a misnomer in my opinion. You don?t think of a handyman as a corporation with numerous tradesmen.

"Derek was a pleasure to work with and we are very pleased with the results. He listened to what we wanted, made suggestions when we weren't sure, and adapted as we went along. Work was done well, on time and on budget, with good communication along the way as we were not present most of the time. We would gladly work with him and his team again in the future."

To measure the right size for a pet door, start by measuring your largest pet. The flap should be at least one inch taller than your tallest pet and at least two inches wider. It's also important to measure the step-over, which should be no more than one-third of your pet's height from the floor to the back.
Pet doors are safe when you implement proper security measures. Opting for models with locking covers or electronic controls—such as microchips or collar-activated sensors—enhances safety by ensuring only your pet can use the door. These features are especially valuable if you have young children or want to prevent stray animals and intruders from entering your home.
Pet doors can affect your energy efficiency by allowing outside air to enter and affect the temperature in your home. You can minimize this impact by choosing a high-quality, insulated pet door that's properly sealed and weatherproofed. Investing in energy-efficient models helps maintain indoor temperatures while giving your pet the freedom to come and go.
